Metformin for 10years and destroyed my digestive system. Inhibitor of B1 not ont doc or nutritionist mentioned this. Docs put me on acid blockers, mafe me so much worse. Had to figure it out on my own

Having severe GERD, my primary care (and gastroenterologist) wanted me to take PPIs and Antacids (Pepcid AC). I had a serious bout of IBS (constipation, abdominal pain) following the last time I did this, and I looked it up and stopped those immediately. It took a few weeks to calm down. The doctors involved did not seem to understand the implications for IBS sufferers of taking these meds. So, good advice here - lots of meds need to be avoided (if you can).

Also stopped my daily 2x naproxen, which I have been taking for many years. I now only take it when absolutely necessary, which isn't that often. I know not to take ibuprofen or aspirin, the effects on the GI tract are pretty immediate.

I've been taking Omeprazole,for at least 15yrs now. And I jus noticed at 13.39 in your video,for Gastrointestinal side effects. That a side effect is there at this time,I've written. Polyps,I'm under a Gastroenterologist,and I've had,three Colonoscopys,and each time I've had Polyps,removed from my large bowel. And funnily enough,another Hospital I'm under,is doing a Colonoscopy on me on Friday coming. Because the Gastroentrologist that's given me three,say I don't need anymore, you couldn't make it up!
