Gotta love that only the express crew can see the birds, like with Clockie, so Caelus looks extra crazy to most onlookers lol.
I'm glad the epilogue was short and sweet, they did a nice job tying up loose ends and setting up future stuff. The goodbyes to Gallagher and the old nameless had me tearing up quite a bit.
Sparkle is still the hero of the arc for me. Did you happen to read the message she sends you right after the story mission? You finally get to find out who her mysterious employer is that was mentioned in Black Swan's companion quest.

Yes, I enjoyed this! It was a good way to wrap things up. My selfish, Trailblazer x Firefly shipping heart wanted more of them, but I'm still very pleased with what we got

I love that Firefly and Silver Wolf are like sisters. In the character phone calls leading up to 2.3 launch (the ones that were mistranslated on social media as FF saying "I love you"), SW and FF are trying to bake a cake together, but almost start a fire, it's great. They released them in English as well.
You're correct, it's "Amber Era", b/c it's a time standard made by the IPC in reference to Qlipoth.
I'm pretty sure Numby's scared b/c Jade is basically the devil, or a jinn/djinn if you prefer.

I’m really interested about Oswaldo Schneider. Owlbert said that he was a Nameless in the IPC myriad celestia, and, to my knowledge, he is the only Nameless that has been portrayed as evil. I wonder if Pom Pom knows about him, and if so, what their opinion on him is.
I think it’s important to note the being a Nameless doesn’t mean being a member or former member of the Astral Express. There is a sidequest in Penacony where you meet a Nameless who has never seen the Express
I love how in the texts Sparkle sends you after the story it confirms that she manipulated the events to have firefly survive because Silverwolf hired her- the stellaron hunters are such a great found family

I kinda hope they'll make it official. I wanna see what happens when the player is given a Canon lover. Usually gacha games don't do that and keep things vague.
I wanna know what players reaction will be when the lover gets killed or they break up or something in the story.

The siblings will never have a happy ending due to the fact it’s in the script that the siblings will be forever separated, and now the wish Robin made with jade only separate them more.
raiden bosenmori mei is so beautiful...and her lore is amazing, ig no matter who appears, she will remain my top 1 favorite character

The implication (in the convo with Oti) that Jade is 10 amber eras old (or has communications with someone who is) is *wild*.

It's Old Oti who is 10 Amber Eras old, not Jade. Jade is referring to Old Oti's career, having read his biography.
The birds on the ship call him "Shopkeeper Leaf", which means he was around when the Watchmaker first started creating Penacony.

It was implied that sunday was captured on previous patch right after the fight by the family. The bloodhund NPC do not looking for sunday at all and focused on remaining remnant of order within family.
Also about gallagher, he died. Due to his affiliation to history fictionologist, they will cease to exist if they were completely exposed. You simply missed that detail when he monologing beside watchmaker corpse and said that he will join watchmaker soon. Also gallagher slip a farwell letter into astral express mentioning his fate too. You can find his letter on table across the guest book.
The 2nd OST playing when u talk to Acheron correctly is "Pendant" for anyone who doesn't know. Also only the first half of it is looped here.
It also might be only song with a recorder that has made anyone emotional af.

I suggest making a small reaction to the video HSR posted. After playing 2.3 this short 2 min vid made cry.
Overall Penacony was great - be it the plot, OST or characters. It also manages to successfully wrap up things and set up new things.
Loufu felt unfinished and many things gets only resolved by playing companion mission. 2,3 handled this much better
The goodbye to IPC and Stellaron Hunters are in the side quest/event tho sadly as I wish we got a proper goodbye to the Stellaron Hunters. Especially after that cut scene
This patch really was a great wrap up to the Penacony story. I know some people had gripes about how long the previous story patches were but I personally enjoyed the pace and build up and was just a tiny bit disappointed about how short this patch was. Regardless, I think they gave a really satisfying epilogue to a story truly worthy of having that honkai name and I can already tell they've laid the groundwork here for some epic moments in the future!
Agreed! I was selfishly hoping for more Trailblazer x Firefly interactions and cute moments and etc. but this was still great -- short and sweet :) I'm definitely satisfied with it and can't wait for more story

Just got Firefly(winning my 4th 50 50 in a row) Now I gotta spend a lot of time and resources building her 😅
I'm mixed about this patch. They did a decent job setting up Jade, and the consequences unleashed by Robin when she went to Jade to save Sunday. Jade feels like she has the potential to be such an interesting villain! When she calls firefly by her actual number and says that they're the same... I couldn't help but wonder if she's the one in Firefly Type 5 from Firefly's myriad celestia trailer. I thought she was Titania. But when Jade speaks to Oti, she also says that Oti isn't the only one who has been waiting for many Amber eras, and repeatedly says how patience is her best virtue. Topaz, Aventurine... both stonehearts are potentially sole survivors from their dying world as well. They have a type. Jade would fit into that type. I'm going to be keeping an eye out for it.
But I feel Sparkle got underplayed. I'm also annoyed at Hoyo for ruining it in the trailer with the fireworks. There were zero mentions of the fireworks before, and we know fireworks are coming from the trailer. Logic dictates Sparkle just had fireworks in there. I hope to see more from her for sure. I love how she rick rolled everyone with the recital in one of the bombs :D
Firefly X TB is cannon and I'm thrilled. Two of my top 3 characters in the game. Want to see so much more from Firefly. Her interactions with the Stelleron hunters are so wholesome!
Himeko and Welt are never going to beat the parents of the Astral Express accusations. I wish Himeko would comfort me after all my 50-50 losses!
Jade is certainly an intriguing character. I'm very curious to know more about her. She seems to know a lot of stuff about a lot of things I'm just fascinated by the IPC in general and can't wait until we get to know more IPC characters. Especially Diamond. I will lose my mind when we get to finally see what Diamond looks like.
Yeah, I guess the trailer might've given away some of the magic since the fireworks wound up being predictable, but I still really loved that scene! I was actually kinda wondering even before the trailer if we'd get some Sparkle fireworks shenanigans at some point because her name in Japanese is "Hanabi," which means fireworks (the literal translation is "fire flower," but it is the word used for fireworks).
I love Firefly x TB 😭 I love them SO MUCH. I also want more Firefly content. The trailer and animated short really sold her for me. I liked her already, but those two pieces of content are what sealed the deal, and now I can't get enough of her.
Himeko and Welt are such parents lol poor Pom-Pom. I'm glad Himeko was there for comfort
@@himetsukich I love the payoff of Sparkle, but I have too many unanswered questions. I do remember the Hanabi part of her lore, and White Night video has Firefly playing with Sparklers in her hand. I'm just impatient for more lore and answers!
I love how many factions there are in this game. So much better than just Fatui and Archons. I would laugh like an absolute maniac if Hoyo made Diamond into just... A talking, sentient diamond.

Acheron is a alt universe Raiden who met a bad ending and her entire world was destroyed…but she still kept the hope and belief alive even by herself 😢
It's mentioned several times that she can "read people's desires", know what they want most. Then she uses that power to trap them in some kind of debt to her.
What I want to know is how the hell, for example, she can take away the gambler lady's relationships. I wonder if it's a metaphor (the woman's gambling addiction will cause her to drive her loved ones away), or if she has some kind of ability to alter reality or fate.

You didn't miss anything wrt Sunday. This stuff is the "oh yeah we found Sunday" update. I'm guessing the Family was hiding him in the immediate aftermath and decided on a public trial later on to make an example of him when they figured out that the dream master was dead. That's just a guess though.
before 2.3, if you talked to the NPCs in the the theater, at least 2 of them will mention that they do in fact have him in custody, plus Robin's extra little content implies as much as well that the hound got him

personal theory: what if Sparkle was handing out buttons just to see how would desire the destruction of Penacony, who would not be afraid to die, to self-sacrifice. then she would gather them up and make an army of Fools

Jade is a great villain. She is manipulative, and I hate her guts. (Reason why I do is in Boothill's story, you dan read it if you have him.)
Secondly, Jade made a deal with Robin, to break Sunday out of captivity. But the price sge paid is still unknown. Which makes me worried, due to what Jade said with Bonajade Exchange. That people need to offer a thing with equal weight to their wishes. Which in this point could be Robin's life, since Sunday himself confirmed that he was probably going to be getting the death penalty. Or at best, Robin's freedom, since Sunday is held captive. Which really would be sad, considering the analogy that Sunady is the bird trapped in the cage willingly, while Robin wanted to break free from the cage, and after all this, she would go back into the cage again.
Also with Acheron/Mei's secrwt ending, I really feel like that they refferenced either Kiana for Stelle, or Kevin for Caelus. (Imo I think they should've shown the flashbacks to Kiana and Kevin while tilting the screen on the Trailblazer, cause that woould've made a stronger impact on the player, but guess they can't give it away that easy, other than that I LOVED everything in 2.3)
So in conclusion, this is why I love Penacony. It makes you think about so many things.

calling Jade a villain just for being a higher up in the IPC is pretty shortsighted imo. She wasn't even a part of what happened with BH. I would hardly even call her manipulative with how upfront she is about her hobby. Anyone who takes her deals only have themselves to blame

I really like that all the people are cooperating with Sparkle to pretend to find the bomb, but actually is pushing us and Firefly together! They are all great actor! This is so romantic and similar to the manga Love Is War.
