Former military man Joseph Opondo turns to keeping ornamental birds

Imagine keeping birds for their beauty and at the same time, enjoying their commercial value. Well that is exactly what one farmer, a former security intelligence officer is doing in his expansive farm in Siaya County. Since his retirement from the government Joseph Opondo opted for bird farming, rearing different species. Some species fetch as much as a million shillings a pair.
