Its nice to know that this animation has a turn on things where, instead of completely disregarding Luigi, Mario actually cherishes and loves Luigi as a brother.
Sibling relationships are like that in real life. Sometimes the older siblings disregard their younger siblings while other times the older siblings are so protective of their younger siblings that they'll do anything they can to make their younger siblings happy and keep them safe.

I love how this video shows the side of sibling relationships where siblings actually get along with each other. Yes, siblings in real life can be mean to each other like many videos of Mario and Luigi show, but we also get along with our siblings when we choose to do so.

You know Mario’s a good brother when he searches for Luigi in Good Egg Galaxy, ANOTHER FRICKEN GALAXY. Not only that but he also asks him sworn enemies if they’ve seen Luigi.
At this point, I'd consider Bowser and Mario more like friendly rivals if anything. If they can put aside their differences to compete in the Olympics, and compete in other spin-off titles, that doesn't really speak "villain" on the part of Bowser.

I just love that, unlike many other Mario's portrayals in web animations, Mario is shown caring about his brother (and vice versa).

I love this, it's more faithful to the original series as well this shows Mario caring about Luigi, which is wholesome, I also loved references such as Military Mario, Dr Luigi, the Observatory from Mario Galaxy and New Donk City, one if the best animations there

I'm not one to usually overpraise an animation like this because i think it's kind of annoying, but this is a good animation. The animation is high-quality, the concept is super cool, and the storytelling is excellent. With all of that said, Luigi looking like the happiest man in the world while on a tank and bloody clothes is hilarious.

Man, I can't describe how beautiful this was. Especially the music when Mario is searching for Luigi. Not the animation we asked for, but needed.
I am pleasantly surprised with two things:
First: Portraying Mario and Luigi as good brothers instead of the overused "Mario is a dick to his younger twin"-trope.
Second: Given the video title and original set-up I thought it would be a fun little (but mostly forgettable) romp. And it was for a while. I didn't expect it to turn so drastically in tone, but it was all the better for it.
You don't expect anything bad from life at the moment and then you get hit like a truck.
