♪Finlandia Hymni (Suomen kieli)
Oi Suomi, katso, sinun päiväs koittaa,
yön uhka karkoitettu on jo pois,
ja aamun kiuru kirkkaudessa soittaa
kuin itse taivahan kansi sois.
Yön vallat aamun valkeus jo voittaa,
sun päiväs koittaa, oi synnyinmaa.
Oi nouse, Suomi, nosta korkealle
pääs seppelöimä suurten muistojen,
oi nouse, Suomi, näytit maailmalle
sa että karkoitit orjuuden
ja ettet taipunut sa sorron alle,
on aamus alkanut, synnyinmaa.
♬Finlandia Hymn (English)
O, Suomi, behold, your day is dawning,
The threat of night has been banished away,
And the lark of morning in the brightness sings,
As though the very firmament would sing.
The powers of the night are vanquished by the morning light,
Your day is dawning, O land of birth.
O, rise, Suomi, raise up high
Your head, wreathed with great memories.
O, rise, Suomi, you showed to the world
That you drove away the slavery,
And that you did not bend under oppression,
Your day is dawning, O land of birth.
♫フィンランディア賛歌 (Japanese. Translator:Kaoru, me)

Onnea 99-vuotias Suomi! Happy Independence Day!!
On wednesday, 100 years.
Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Independence of Finland, The Minnesota Orchestra performed works by Kalevi Aho, Jaakko Kuusisto, and Sibelius' 2nd Symphony on 22 & 23 /09/2017 with the President of Finland there for the performance. Oh and after all the scheduled music came "Finlandia" -- it was enough to make one feel as if we were ALL from Finland!!
Hyvää syntymäpäivää Suomi! \(^o^)/

Hi dear Kaoru,
Thank you for sharing this heart moving, epic piece of music, which can really touches your heart. And the video is so beautiful and breathtaking, with so many great scenes from different seasons in Finland! And I learned some new things from your descriptions, such as Suomi, which means Finland, and I did not know this before. I suppose this is kind of a patriotic song? Thanks again for introducing this great music to us! Hope you've been enjoying your weekend! -:)

Greetings from Kaoru, Japan♡
Thank you my friend.
So powerful is the release of the flame of freedom through this music, that during the Nazi occupation, its playing was forbidden lest it arouse the fervor of the people for freedom...Beautiful key note inside. Thank you for sharing :)

Thanx for uploading! Sibelius would have liked the pics. Sibelius meant FINLANDIA to be a fighting music against Russian oppression and the Russians prohibited playing it.
Russia had conquered Finland and brought more and more Russians into the country. They are still there and Putin wants to „free“ them and make Finland a part of Russia again.
Finland has the 100 independence memorial year 2017. The russians are not there since 1917!!!
For pensive moments in a rough time, Sibelus really loved his country and it's nature.
Soon, the world will become much more silent and all hectic will disappear. Even the droning in the cities will calm down completely, there will be silence in heaven and on earth.
Then time begins anew and all worries are gone and forgotten.
The spirit on earth gets a fundamental update, everything gets a new sound and the nature will heal everywhere, too.
There is a christian song I like so much called "We rest on Thee" that borrows the hymn part music but the entire Op.26 is a masterpiece I'm in love with
A superb work and performance. But who wrote the title.. it is Sibelius, for Finland's sake.
Dear Kaoru, Sorry to say, but there is a mistake in your picture Sibelius not Sivelius!

Thank you so much for your message. I have clearly made a terrible error for which I am deeply sorry.
