The Perfect Accessible Break - Disabled Accommodation and Accessible Holidays UK Center Parcs

This Vlog episode details a wheelchair users experience of holidaying at UK Center Parcs.
Andrew who has Muscular Dystrophy uses a mid-wheeldrive Electric All Terrain Electric Wheelchair from Magic Mobility is non ambulant and requires a hoist to be lifted from his electric wheelchair to the bed, centre parcs accessible lodges are ideal for disabled people wanting to holiday in the UK. The accessible bedroom comes with a single profiling bed (and a single carers bed alongside) , these can be pushed together for couples like to cuddle.
There is a wet room which is perfectly usable for a wheelchair user , the only problem is that the shower head is quite low down so when Andrew's wife Joanne tries to shower she has to duck down to wash her hair. The lodge contains a non adapted bathroom as well but being an inter-abled family Joanne likes to shower in the ensuite to the bedroom she shares with her husband Andrew.
The portable standing frame hoist which is an Oxford Journey can be wheeled in from the car easily and makes transferring much easier whilst on holiday.
Center Parcs are very well catered for families (many of whom have pushchairs or buggies for their young children) , this makes them very accessible for wheelchairs , the restaurants have lots of space and its easy to move around.
Center Parcs are located within forest land , with paths for walking / biking throughout
The Electric Wheelchair is a Frontier V6 which is All Terrain and ideal for the great outdoors with large four by four wheels perfect for rolling over grass and mud.
