Connecticut is actually really beautiful in some areas. Yea there some “haunted”areas but let’s be honest, every state has some sort of cursed history and haunted destinations.
@@Sheparrdgutz it's not bad cuz its haunted it's bad cuz it's high I'm taxes, we have a serious drug problem no one is doing anything about, alot of people dont have jobs, car insurance is high and u can't own a car here unless u pay property tax on it, gas is very expensive, tobacco tax is expensive, winters are harsh, crime has gone up over the years.. I can keep going.. I mean yes SOME parts are nice.. (if you are rich) but most suck. I've lived here my whole life id know..
I attended a wedding reception that was held in Johnsonville some years back. It's a lovely little town. I understand that it has now been sold. If I had an extra five - ten mill collecting dust I would have bought it myself, restored it and made it a museum. It would have served as a testament days/years gone by.
I was married in the church at Johnsonville and had a beautiful reception in the Red House there. Also Billy Joel filmed parts of his River of dreams video there, the choir sings in front of the church on the estate . The Johnsonville property is amazing, I'm glad to have had a part of it.

This year been the toughest year ever lost my mom two months ago two days before mother's day few months before my mom lost grandma both to cancer 💔Im now homeless I would love a home it's beautiful
Watching someone die of cancer is the worst thing ever. Also lost my mother to cancer and 3 months before that lost my grandmother and I lived with both of them also. It gets better over time but still miss them everyday.
Yeah same, or rent it out for people to film movies/shows music videos etc. have weddings there, air bnb… the land looks really nice and some buildings have potential to be rebuilt into nice homes

A Filipino church bought it in 2018. I know, I wish I had money. It would've been great to buy and add some more historic buildings and make a little artist village or something, with maybe rental cottages.
So which massive corporation, bank, or "duel citizenship" investor ended up buying this historic place just to let it rot or flatten it for a parking lot?
