Hello, thanks for the tutorial. Did the air pressure hold up well in the old stanchion? I am wondering if the spring scratches inside will not be a problem.
The bike was 2016 model and I got it 2021 and was sparingly used by previous owner. It was perfectly fine until now. Some guys do have sealing problem experiences but mine luckily held up good. This was my 2nd try of conversion, the first bike I did try was few months old.
What if I put a spacer between the wave spring and the air shaft,that will push up the seal heads and technically reduce the travel,I have a 2018 boxxer and I want it to make it 180mm but I can’t find a 180mm air shaft,do you think that will work?
