- As FBI Houston works to fight violent crime in the city and target neighborhood gangs, the federal law enforcement agency has identified the top 10 most dangerous zip codes.
If our judges weren't so lax with criminals, I think Houston would be a nice city to live in.

Medical center is a weird area. Lots of rich people, some middle class people, and lots of ghetto people that might rob you. I know plenty of medical professionals that live in nice apartments there (not the luxury ones) and there are break ins all the time.

Interestingly, enough, I actually lived in one of those ZIP Codes a few years back, and it definitely did not feel uncomfortable to go outside but it always helps to be vigilant wherever you are regardless of your ZIP Code ZIP

In 1999, I moved from Fort Lauderdale, Fl to live with my pops for school (TSU was a terrible experience!!) and we stayed in Alief/Sharpstown area. When I first touchdown I wanted to go to the Sharpstown Mall but my pops was like, not this week, they robbed and killed a woman in the parking lot. Some of them Apts off Bissonnet and also Beechnut St. were treacherous!! With all that being said, folks in Houston were waaaaay cooler and way more approachable and respectful than where I'm from. Not sure if that's changed but overall Houston was a great place to live. No regrets.
