fuck design school I want to learn from this guy
magnetik design schools are a waste of fucking money, go out there and learn from the real world
midge218 I already went to design school, waiting till I get my degree to apply for jobs.
magnetik i have too and been on the job for a few years, a little advice for you, take any design job you can to get your foot in the door even if its unpaid internship and work hard at getting those cups of coffee right
midge218 I see... alright thanks for the tip! Currently I am also doing some freelance work to get some experience instead of a part time job. But once I get my foot in the door like you said, one day I'll get the job I want.
Cris R. Hernandez Its teaching me both.
5:07 "And now, y'know, we're cooking with gas." A++ XD
4:47 "BAM! instant kickass..." Gotta love this guy
haha loved that part
I'm a designer for 15 years, but this video just blew my mind. the process of keeping every step is something I have never thought before, and it really brings you so many more opportunities when you do that.
For the ones watching this and want to know how to make the radial effect just double click the rotation tool and then select "copy" then just press ctrl + D.
he is a born teacher
He's so jolly and fluffy, he works awesome!
He's jolly alright!! Look at the BIG FAT ass!!
this man is my idol !!! i love him so much and also learned from him so much
"Let's go back now, you're just command Z'n." I LOVE the way Aaron teaches. He could get me interested in anything haha.
4:20 "And that little sketch that? What? What was that? 5 seconds?" SLAM! Right into my face. And boy, did I need that!
You rock, straight to it, in my language, and talk as you show. I love your style! Thank YOU!
Aaron is my new hero! I enjoy his optimism and problem solving skills on this. I use Illustrator everyday and already in 5 minutes of this video I have learned so many new tricks and tips to help with my daily workflow! Thank you so much! A+ video! Look forward to the day till I become a full fledged Illustrator Samurai like Aaron!
By far, most badass graphic designer I've found. 7 Minutes and 32 Seconds and I'm already a big fan!
Where had you been all my life Aaron??!! Could've made my design journey a whole lot easier. Damn. Thanks for this
Amazing techniques you demonstrated - thanks
This dude man...He's something else regarding vector art!
Wish I could design stuff as efficiently as him!
Watching this....mind *EXPLODES*
Love his energy
"Vectors are free"
I fucking love this guy!
This guy is amazing! Just so clean & direct.
Everything looks so easy when he does it! He flies through the shortcuts. That's the way to do it. I've spent A LOT of time search for just the right "laurel" (or whatever other vector).
Every once in awhile u-tube actually recommends something I like. This is one of those. Subbed
This guy is amazing! I've always been interested in graphic design, but I haven't really gotten into it since I've thought it's been too time consuming and hard. Now im so eager to start thanks to Aaron :)
That was awesome! Thank you for the demo and inspiration!
He's so excited. Love this video.
"which is what, duplicate or somethin? I dont know" XD hahahaha
Number the revisions and you won't have this problem.
Great lesson on how to be free and productive at the same time, thanks! Absolutely useful!
Amazing! This is what Design is about: Creativity!
When I was a child this is how I use to think when designing using microsoft paint (before I had Adobe). I now am reminded of all the amazing things I made from simple duplication and moving parts! Thanks
i like this dude so much.when I grow up I wanna be like him 😊 he talks design so effortlessly!!
Show more of this guy! He's amazing
I love this guy so much.
thank you so much. I always have trouble with thing like this.
This man speaks the good truth. Amen brother!
I met Mr. Draplin in person and he is just as incredible as he appears. Incredible designer, really fantastic guy. I'm so glad he has classes available on skillshare.
man you are just awesome, you made the design thing so simple.want to learn more from you, keep making and share your experiences...
realest dude alive. Such a great teacher
You are a wizard Aaron! Thank you for sharing!
that was the Simplest and the awesomest tutorial i've ever seen on youtube
Oh My God!!!!! I have being very scared of working with illustrator as I always think its a very complicated software to use. It sometimes gives me nightmares. But I just found my guardian angel in Aaron. How easy and straightforward he makes it appear. He even ignites the fire of creative thinking in you with his freestyle teachings. no formalities. Thank you Aaron. You are not just my Aaron, you are my Moses and from this day, I have become your Israelite. I know you will lead me to the promised land. Lol.
Oh Boy! what a kiss ass!
Tell him
"I love you Papi!"
Good job. Thanks. I think you made a difference in my thinking on design.
I love this guy! I always thought I was 'cheating' when customising vector elements and wished I had time to make my own shapes. But now I know I've been doing it the way he recommended all along! Great minds think alike, thanks for sharing Aaron!
So positive I love this man.
This guy is the reason I just subscribed to the skillshare service. I hope its as good as this video man.
Dude! I love u for this! No one has ever explained it the way you did. You are awesome. Thank you so much for changing the game. Phelix. 🙌🏾👍🏾
Your awesome man thanks for the motivation.
Thank you so much!
Superb stuff from a talented designer. Lots of years of learning shortcuts here. If I need graphic design, I always employ a designer, you cant learn how to do everything, you need guys like Aaron.
So honest and helpful.
OMG i loooved It! Always wondered How to do this. Thaaanks
All the 99+ people disliking this video probably make a living out of selling vectors.
So happy i found this man!
this man is awesome man!!!
I love this man. He is so fucking stoked on what he's doing. Every time he says "look at that! look how easy that was! how long did that take? 5 minutes?" I'm like hell yeah we are iterating so efficiently
For real all his video tutorials made me think differently and more openly about iterating and saving all my elements. So handy down the line
Had to rewatch this.
I love listening to him, he's like a modern Bob Ross! Arm tattoo is also on point!
Fantastic!
The hell man.. Im blown away
Wow, he makes it look so simple!
Love the way you teach. Keep up the great work.
You are an inspiration sir!
"vectors are free" its a simple phrase but has so much meaning
Thanks man! It's obviously very useful advice
I tried this yesterday cuz I used to just have one thing and edit it the whole way thru. Good advice. Cool video
I love this guy!
This is amazing
Great method man. Clean and simple. Vectors are free!
I like this tutorial and bookmarked in as well subscribed to it.
Jesus. I was so scared to work because im not a straightforward thinker. Aaron just makes it so simple and how you dont need to overcomplicate it
you just introduced me to the rotate tool, thanks dude!
Quick, excellent and to the point....with a little bit of humor...
this man is my hero. ( well, I know a couple other people who are this awesome but hes still a hero.)
Simplicity and being able to describe things SIMPLY, while making it seem very matter-of-fact, is a tremendous skill set and one of THE most effective instructional methods out there. It instills confidence in your viewers. Huge kudos, brudduh !!! One of my favorite quotes of all time: "if you can't describe it SIMPLY, you don't understand it well enough" - Albert Einstein
This guy is an inspiration.
Todo el trabajo de Arron es simplemente genial, un curso muy recomendable
aaron you are incredible
oh man... you are purely a dope.... the way you talk inspires me... encouraging me...
to do somthing like this... I dont know illustrator... I learned only Photoshop myself....

designing is my passion...
Awesome!!!
you are GREAT !
His tips have really helped me improve my design skills tbh.
Good stuff. Gona start using some of these tips
Muito bom!! Parabéns amigo. Sou seu fã.
Yes! Back in architecture school, before computers, one teacher told us "Do not erase! Put another layer of sketch paper on top. Save your ideas, even the ones you think are not that great"
I just subscribed too, hope he hits that 100K, keep it going man, good stuff!
Top-notch!
This kind of people should go out and teach more! They make learning and being creative fun!
Ever made a mistake? Now they're laurels now.
Dude is so awesome...I tend to make my projects harder than they need to be. He gave me an outlook of simplicity. On top of that I felt like I was cheating using vectors so I feel better knowing such an established artist uses them as well.
I totally feel the same way when I work!!
Know how to break down a complicated image into simple geometry and then work from there your logo using fun and creative ideas to build it!
Wow, I love the way you teach. Wow i can't believe i'm just getting to discover you. Nice nice nice...
Hank Hill sheds a tear at 5:07
You are awesome bro.
My problem is with my design process is that, I still need to learn how to do stuff wit the programs, if i known (for example) i could just warp a whole shape into an arc, i dont need to strugle for hours to rework my whole wheat stalk just so that it arcs...Not to mention, i didnt know the smooth tool existed and when i realized how to use the shape builder tool a whole new world opened to me. THe idea is not a problem, i sketch the things in seconds as well, but implementing thme is a problem, and the things i know in the program limit my imagination, on what i can and dare to do, because if i cant implement it, its no use. Learned a lot from this video ! Thank you !
This is an outstanding video!!! Thanx!!! =)
wow that was actually a really helpful video! thanks
Really cool stuff using my favorites tools: ears, brain, pencil and paper, and then all come together to my old friend Illustrator. Thanks man...
I work in CAD design, a lot of what he did in there is reminiscent of stuff I do at work. I feel like i don't have creativity though in my company, everything is so rigid and theres a set way of doing things and, its so uninteresting. I've become extremly unhappy with work and its starting to bleed into other things now. Watching this video that for whatever reason was recommended to me...just made me decide to look into graphic design. Thanks man. Maybe this is a career change that I need.
WOW REALLY NICE WORK.
You're awesome.
The beauty of command D!!!!!
my hero
Great video!
