    I really really love this! What size are you inflating the balloons to, for those of us not using a handful and measuring size 🤣

    Good job my friend! As some point you'll have to invest in a Conwin PA inflator - it will pay itself back in no time with the time you save on inflating. I get great ideas from you! Thanks for sharing!

      That's very nice - thank You! Yes, I'll eventually buy another electric pump. I just figure most people watching won't have one anyway so I show how to hand inflate. I do want to switch over eventually in my decór vids, though.

    how long before the event can these be put together?

  • @negyana05

    I want to make these for my daughter's communion on a Saturday, how far in advance can I make them?

    • @BalloonSage
      @BalloonSage  Před 7 lety

      Ooh, these should be made literally as close to the event as you can manage. The latex luster degrades and looks less beautiful as the hours and days go on. I would make it the night before, store it in an airtight large plastic bag, then open it and take it out for the communion event. Feel free to ask as many additional questions as you like. Thanks for watching!

    what brand name balloons you use?

    • @BalloonSage
      @BalloonSage  Před 7 lety

      hi. For deluxe decorations I use high quality Qualatex brand balloons. I also order my hand pumps from Qualatex as well. However, I do have several other videos that use just dollar store supplies, if you check out my channel. Thank you for your question.

    Could I add sand to all 4 balloons of the bottom quad to use as a weight?

    • @BalloonSage
      @BalloonSage  Před 7 lety

      You could, but it would definitely increase the likelihood of the balloons popping. If you filled them full of sand, they would end up weighing at least a pound each I'm sure. 'The only option would be to put some sand in the balloons balloons and then inflate normally - but again - likelihood of popping. A normal sand or water weight will keep it from moving if you are not using a pole and base if - you make it large enough. And always make it double thick! Thanks for watching.

      @cindymosteller7089 Před 7 lety +1

      Balloon Sage I guess I should have explained better, I was thinking just a small amount divided between the 4 balloons. I'm sorry, I'm just learning to do these. Love your instructional videos. They are very easy to follow. You are very talented. Thank you for your help.

    • @cindymosteller7089
      @cindymosteller7089 Před 7 lety

      How long do these last?

    • @BalloonSage
      @BalloonSage  Před 7 lety

      Hi Cindy! Your explanation was clear enough that I attempted to answer from two different perspectives - one was that you could insert sand into the uninflated balloons, then inflate them as normal - but perhaps I was the one that was unclear, haha! You are smart to think of the idea, but I believe it doesn't work due only to the jagged nature of thousands of sand particles being incompatible with stretched latex under pressure. Now, these type of balloon decorations that are compilations of dozens of round balloons can last for days and days - (much longer than, say, a birthday cake) but the idea is to create them the day of or the night before an event. The outside air is not a friend to balloon structures - as usually outside arches and columns are meant for a single day, as the winds and heat tarnish the lovely luster and shininess of fresh balloons. This particular structure should last indoors for several days at least, if needed. I hope you check out some of my other vids as well, thanks!

      That makes allot of sense, thank you for helping me understand more. I'm am completely mesmerized by these awesome structures. I'm going to be making 3 for a 6th grade dance at my sons school next month. I have been watching your videos all day lol. Will definitely continue watching. I will share them with you when I'm finished. I just hope mine look half as nice as yours.
