How do people sell a $5 item with free shipping? For example like a charger the cost of a first class package would be $2-$3, eBay and PayPal take a 13%, plus you need to cover the cost of the item. You'll profit like $1 not to mention time and shipping supplies. How do people make it work? Sorry if I sound like I'm complaining, just curious.
Most often they are international sellers who benefit from the currency exchange rate.
Charge your product higher that wsy you still will profit so instead of five $ make your item 10 or 15$

And I heard you can get up to 300 priority mail boxes or envelopes per post office site .( If available)...
You can always have stamps made or you can make your own stamp with like your logo or your website name and stuff like that and just stamp it on yourself so it doesn’t have to be completely blank

Can you link USPS to your company website so that it can calculate the customer's shipping cost so it doesn't come out of pocket? I notice many companies use $4.99 flat rate regardless of weight, but, won't I have to make up the difference if it exceeds the flat rate charge?
Most flat rate packaging can go up to 70 lbs, so if it fits, it ships for that charge.

Ok I’m still lost ok what to charge so do I weigh all my items and pick a set price like 5.99 for first class ? The different types is confusing me , I was just going to add a price for first class and a price for priority 😩
Yep! Just make sure you calculate the right price based off of weight and which way you want to ship first class or priority. I plan on doing just priority for now to keep it simple for me and convenient for the customer because like she said they usually get it within 3 days.

my mother has a clothing business and what she did was weigh her products and put that into the system so it automatically calculates how much shipping will be depending on the weight

If you already have printer you can save more by purchasing label paper.
@@exoticcexoticc5716 You can print labels two ways if you want them like a stick on. 1. The label printer where you have to buy labels and the label printer will be about 150$. 2. Use Normal printer and just purchase labels for about 5 to 6$

Not everyone wants generic packaging though lol If you want to use it I don't see the issue. Especially if you're wanting to get your brand name out there. Also priority cancels out the risk your items being held up, I know this was made pre covid but in these times especially priority makes sure it gets there on time (at least in these times now lol post covid)

You shouldn't have to get a box they have padded envelopes that are free of different sizes. Those are the ones I use for my business that I started not long ago called @VonettaCollections

You can get free boxes from USPS.
I’m so confused. I got free small flat rate boxes on the usps website. And I get my shipping label from Etsy. Can I just ship it since I have the shipping label, or do I have to wait in line and pay for the box when I’m ready to ship it?? It weighs less than a pound. It’s all so confusing. I feel like since I have the box and shipping label I should be able to go ahead and ship it? Maybe I’m wrong but idk it’s so confusing, I don’t want there to be any hidden fees
