Father’s Sins enthusiast here, and i can say after 2,000+ kills in crucible with it, it is amazing for aggressive sniper playstyles, especially with the 35 zoom scope that has open sights so that you can see all of ur surroundings while aiming in, combined with 92 handling and under pressure opening shot, the sniper’s a beast, at least in my hands.

I want to like it so much, I have a fully crafted roll same as yours, but I can't STAND the reticle, it just pisses me off for some reason, I also rlly don't like such a weak body shot, it makes following up not as feasible and not being able to res snipe is frustrating as well :|
@@blad3UK I’m used to it since it’s basically cloudstrike with a diff reticle and no lightning storm
The small reticle on thoughtless is amazing for me, it feels alot easier to line it up with people far away on larger maps and to land close range headshots.
gallu instantly deserves S tier for the sheer fact that it can roll overflow with snapshot. sliding/walking over a brick of ammo into a snipe lane already prepared for a gunfight is OP asf. i can’t tell you how many times not wasting a second or two reloading has saved my life. it also feels oddly sticky for whatever reason. definitely my fav energy snipe, even over a crafted beloved.
Fun fact: Widows bite in year one of d2 was actually a heavy weapon

The long walk feels incredibly nice with the god roll imo. Snapshot and overflow. Hands down my favourite sniper and zoom value currently

Honestly most fusions where top tier before this season but now fusions are all over the place cuz a lot of them are just inconsistent now
@@JH-vb1wo actually not really, see I love destiny, because I one of the people who love testing stuff idk why but I do.. I test alot of crap I tested most fusion. And there only a rang difference like I tested rapid fire one feels the same, people called the new one bad, but it good easy to control and kill at 13-15 meters that all rapid fire ones they all very stable,
All the adaptive frames still very good look at the new trails one got the God roll, don't have any kick it shoot straight and have a 19 meters easy kill rang.
We all know main ingredient is still top tier and that type of fusion is still amazing,
But alot of people just not carrying about the high impact fusion.. if you get that stupid charge time down.. let say you get people mad they are a laser beam at stupid ranges
before the air changes, tranquility was my fav sniper for some reason i just hit way more in air shots with it than other snipers. love the vid btw very valid tier list
Great video! After a long grind, I was finally able to craft beloved. Now another grind to level it up but looking forward to the God Roll

I have an Adept Eye of Sol with Ensemble Snapshot and a Non-Adept EoS with Surplus Snapshot.
Which one should I pick between the two?

I do want to give a bit of a shoutout to ikelos sniper, since it has one very unique thing about it: seraph rounds. With them you get ricochet and opening shot combined basically, which means that with the extremely specific roll of fluted, seraph, QuickDraw and moving target you get a pretty decent sniper. The scope still takes some getting used to but honestly I love that sniper. Its still not a good sniper, but I’d put it in B instead since it’s zoom is the same as many of the best snipers and some extremely specific rolls can make it feel solid. Your odds of getting that roll are effectively zero, but it’s still something to keep an eye out for
I have one ikelos with fluted barell/QD/seraph rounds/no distractions and handling MW.Until rapid fire snipers eventually get their "15 minutes of fame" in a future sandbox it will collect dust in my vault.On 140 rpm i use only cloustrike which is extremely fun but it lowers the precision ratio for those that like stats.:)
I would rate cloudstrike above adored. I think cloudstrike easily hangs with eye of sol and beloved. All though it can't double bodyshot (doesn't happen anyways cause of scavenger nerfs), the lightning strike has some awesome utility, especially in 3v3 gamesmodes. If you get a pick, you can watch the res from afar and when they res you snipe the person, killing both them and the person who ressed them. Plus the multi-kill potential can easily win rounds. That gun carried my team to flawless a couple times

My team and I all 3 ran cloudstrike's and they paired it with Multimach and I paired with Austringer. Enemy teams see multiple cloudstrikes and it makes it so much easier to not be team shot just on them not wanting to get multi killed from around a corner lol. I love it
@@Awake_wl same, although what could they give as a catalyst that would still feel unique but works in pvp without being overpowered
If you’re used to the zoom I could see that but it’s AA is lower and the stability and handling are usually gonna be lower than the other two on a good roll. Plus the perk can be situational

“Feel” really is the best factor, I suck at sniping and always try to watch vids and jump on the bandwagons for what’s “good”. The widows bite model and though less are the only ones that ever resonated with me. Actually feel like I can do something with those.
I've been using a max handling roll on the eye of sol and it feels so good, 45 zoom snipers are my strong suit and I have an old one which has fluted, accurized, no distractions, celerity and handling mw. With this combo you can easily get 96 handling w/ adept icarus or 100 w/ adept handling which just gives adored qd + snap as well another bonus perk such as no distractions or moving target. Sadly you can't get celerity on the eye anymore though

I have a no distractions + snapshot roll and I got a firmly planted + snapshot roll.
Which would you recommend me to use?
I have a Gallu RR3 roll with Snapshot + Overflow which is actually amazing for 6v6
cuz the Overflow automatically reloads your sniper upon brick pickup, good for fast playstyle
It has a lower zoom than Thoughtless too so a bit better for mid ranges

I really need to start practicing to snipe I just never been a sniper since 2015 in d1 but in trials this season everyone is sniping I feel like if I want to compete I need to be able to snipe. The only 2 snipers I’ve used in pve that I could see using in pvp is eye of sol or uzume they feel pretty good and not sluggish
The distant timulus drops in dares of eternity. It’s during the week 1 weapon drops which was this past week with the dire promise and true prophecy in the mix also.
Ive mained long walk for a while and imo is def an A tier weap, or at least very high b tier, but then again, feel do be everything.

I got a adept Uzume RR4 with killing wind and explosive bullets. it’s stats are crazy but what I love about it. Is explosive Bullets getting me double or triple kills,in trials when they bunch up to snipe a lane.
What s better between eyes of soul moving target+ oppening shot or snapshot+ surplus or silicon with oppening and snap thanks
The frozen orbit is my life on this game, fluted barrel for the handling s.s surplus and handling masterwork, it feels so snappy.

Borealis is super cool because (if i remember correctly) you proc the exotic perk if you break an opponents shield while they're in their super. After its proc'd you can 1-shot body. Or at least u used to be able to

What do you think about overflow as a perk on snipers? The utility it brings is actually super underrated as you quite literally never have to reload. You can get some nice clips with it especially since you’re more of a close quarters sniper, you pick up a special ammo brick and it auto reloads the gun for you. So you can chain kills pretty nicely with it. I have a gallu rr3 with overflow snapshot and it’s pretty nice tbh.
Yeah I actually really like overflow it’s super useful especially in 6v6
nothing will ever replace my uzume, imo it's the best sniper and I still prefer it over my crafted Beloved. after the AA/accuracy changes to snipers depending on their zoom beloved just doesn't feel the same to me since it's a lower zoom at 40. uzume just feels like it's more consistent with hit registration at medium/longer ranges and has less flinch while also having access to adept mods where you can crank up the AA if you want or focus more into handling. the grey reticle doesn't bother me but it's got one of the most open and unobstructed scopes which only makes me love it more
Ohhh I wish I had a better roll. It's still my main go to sniper, but I have fluted, extended mag, triple tap, vorpal, reload MW. Still love it lol
VoG sniper is my go to atm, got it with 98 handling, moving target opening shot 👌👌
My go to kinetic sniper for pvp is eye of sol, my current one has killing wind and snapshot on it. For energy snipers I currently use frozen orbit with the same roll of killing wind snapshot, but I'm probably gonna switch to beloved once I craft the roll that I want on it.
Those are both sick rolls, killing wind is slept on, double kill machines haha

Kinda interesting that you put most of the aggressive frames lower down. Their high damage is amazing and their lower handling is usually offset by snapshot. You can clean up bodyshots with a lower amount of primary shots putting them up there with or better than adaptives imo
With 90 rpm it’s 1 body shot and then head shot w a hand cannon , with the 72 Rpm you can body shot w the hand cannon so it’s a little easier but actually slower since 90 rpm are slower handling in general
Regarding accuracy cones, zoom plays a pretty big roll in that. If you have 50 zoom snipers like fugue, uzume, or cloudstrike, then you get more aim assist and free shots with the downside being flinch. But I see the majority of people like lower zoom snipers like beloved, which has 40. Do you take zoom into consideration with snipers? Which do you think feels the best?
In general I think lower zoom is better for me
I got to say I think the Bite of the fox with snapshot and Quickdraw is really good just for the reticle alone, I think It's the best sniper reticle ever in destiny 1 and 2
Occluded Finality is actually very unique being a 72rpm but able to have 100 range and 85~ handling with the right barrels and Snapshot + Elemental Capacitor with Arc.
Glad to see someone bringing the roll to attention, have that roll with arrowhead brake (reload masterwork unfortunately) but I plan to hold on to it as a sleeper pick for Arc 3.0…
@@Sly_Tendencies I managed to get reallllly luck on this one. I saved up IB bountys, and the season it came out I got a 5/5 from a bounty. Hammer Forged, Ricochet Rounds and a Range MW brings it to exactly 100 range. Then Elemental Capacitor brings it to 83 handling!
Making the base range 100 on a sniper means it doesn’t need Opening Shot anymore either I’ve been told by CammyCakes who got the info from a dev interview

Im on mouse and keyboard and was stuck on 50 zoom snipers and was really good with them, I tried many times to go with a lower zoom but my muscle memory was so used to 50 that i was stuck with them. I crafted the god roll beloved and wanted so bad to like it but it just couldn't hit my shots with it. I wanted a lower zoom for better ease of use. i decided to lower my ADS sensitivity from 1 to 0.8 and start maining an eye of sol adept that was sitting around my vault for a long while, it was rough at first but after about 4 or 5 days i'm cracked with it now, just went on a 9 win streak in freelance trials and was hitting insane headshots. glad i made the switch.

Yep i have a far future with both opening shot and moving target. 98 handling and 97 aim assist makes it nastyyy

So do you prefer handling so much for weapon swapping at this point? I'm just trying to understand as a newer player.
I play a super aggressive/close range style of sniper (which I think is the most effective play style if done right) so the handling helps with weapon swap, ADS speed, and sort of the overall feel as to how “snappy” the gun feels…hopefully that makes sense haha

Firmly planted is another very solid option, very good for slide sniping

I would say so, my opinions have changed a little on some of the weapons but I think the top tier is still the same for the most part

@@Awake_wl the nice thing about bite is that with the snapshot opening shot roll it's super good for either sitting long on a lane or being able to shotgun up close, since even if you hit a body the damage is pretty nice. It also has the funny bonus of being able to run snapshot explosive payload, so it's great for flinching other snipers off your head(apostate, long shadow, and uzume also get it but it's not as helpful on the rapid fire and isn't a great option on the others)

I got eye of sol adept with surplus snapshot last season. I really wanted moving target snapshot but RNG said no. I missed my chance to get it this season too. With that being said. Would you say the one I got is just as good? Considering its a adept and I can use adept targeting.
I have both of those rolls and I personally use the surplus one!

I don't know why but I can't use eye of sol. I'm fine with other snipers, my most kills are on the sunset curated twilight oath and a hipfire opening shot bite of the fox.
That bite of the fox roll with a freehand grip mod is the highest hipfire accuracy a sniper can get, even though hipfire grip doesn't affect the aim assist on snipers, it does affect accuracy.

Yeah it can! I do think it depends on how many bullets are left and possibly which super it is, vorpal is definitely better but I couldn’t get one to drop so I ran high impact reserves and it did the trick

I agree with this list, but I would put the old adept version of eye of sol in a tier higher than S. Not that I have the gun, but it used to roll with snap + opening, celerity, and vorpal. Opening shot is good for obvious reasons, celerity with a handling barrel + masterwork would put it at near 100 handling base, and vorpal one shots supers. Adept mods as well reverse powercreep all other snipers in destiny

Occluded finality is S tier for me. The long zoom doesn’t bother me since I’m just snapping in real quick and taking my shot. Iron reach, snap shot still works good for me. This thing gives me head shots that I wouldn’t normally get.
Actually if you play Ensemble + Fluted Barrel + Handling MW, you have so much handling when you're next to your teammates, that you can play it with Opening Shot instead of Snapshot, but now comes the real deal: When you're the only one left on your team, Alacrity will procc and you will have the extra Handling needed to have the snappyness.

I don't like the gallu, it has really poor range stats for a sniper rifle. my favourite is the eye of Sol, though I like the Fugue 55. I always look for a good mount of range. In terms of use states I would like to know what others find important in a sniper?
For me I value handling most then range, I do play a very aggressive style of sniping though!

I love beloved but because of its 40 zoom and my 57 stat roll it feels unreliable at range. It's still my favourite sniper but I'm used to a 1000 yard stare (45 zoom) and it's a full bore max range roll quickdraw snapshot. Because of the nerf to snapshot this sniper feels very slow now. First it was fast and good at range now you must choose between a fast sniper or one which is good at range.
Frozen orbit was, nah fuck it still is my baby. I love my fully crafted beloved too, but frozen, much like dire promise, will always be in my heart because it’s the one sniper that got me into sniping. It’s also the sniper I used to cheese with lorely back when it provided a dmg buff to body shot people 😂. It’s crazy how you also used the dreaming spectrum shader, that’s the one I always use for it. Great tier list bro, personally I’d of put frozen at the top but that’s just me being biased lmao, like you said it has a lot to do with feel. Maybe once I get better at sniping I’ll fall in love with rapid fire frames 💪

Why does BotF move from B to C during your vid?
Moving target for bite of the fox is better imo. Since the opening shot nerf I find moving target noticeably consistent, but I guess it’ll depend on your play style.
But they didn’t nerf the accuracy for opening shot. They only nerfed the damage falloff
I’ve always gravitated toward aggressive frames for the sole purpose of being able to make a hero play and 1 tap a super … roaming or well lock … adaptives can’t do that and I wonder if I’m making a sacrifice for not much gain?
The way I look at it is that a headshot does nearly enough damage to the point where if anyone else on your team can hit them even once it’ll be a kill so for me I don’t think it’s worth running them solely for the super elim

Fathers sins enthusiast here to 7months later this thing is still an absolute CQB MONSTER it’s absolutely disgusting in the right hands this thing allows for some mind boggling quick scope’s especially in shot gun range! I personally think it’s better than beloved !! If your an AGGRESSIVE sniper this thing is it !
I could not get into Long shadows feel as well. I have the same exact roll as you assuming you got the one that gunsmith brought. Yeah... its just awkward to use.

@@Awake_wl Thats alot of weapons in D2. So many factors in what makes a weapon good, not just stats. Too many popular streamers never consider it.
Kinda strange I quite like it, I'd probably put it as a solid A. I use controller so might feel worse for keyboard and mouse users.
Only thing I would change is shepherds watch move it from A to S tier because underpressure is truly that good the stats suck on the gun, pretty much everything is below average but underpressure doesn't care its that good in my opinion otherwise I think you spot on. 👏

My favourite sniper is definitely the eye of sol I have one with ensemble and snapshot and one with no distractions and snapshot, I have 1000 kills on each of them and even though I’m on a broken PS4 I feel that this sniper lets me compete with good players on next generation consoles
odd perk combo butmy best sniper was a tranquility with auto loading holster and snap shot. with fluted barrel and a handeling master work. (i think it also had hammer forged rifling) it clicked with me. sadly it was sunset
Auto loading actually isn’t too bad it’s definitely slept on! On shotguns too!, plus fluted barrel/handling master work is perfect!
Ikelos I had a 96 percent head shot ratio a month ago the things solid and slept on but I completely understand 90’s are king ngl
I used to absolutely wreck people with “bite of the fox” and another underrated one which is “Maxim XI” I have over 1000 kills with both in PVP
Not a fan of "firmly planted"? Proxs on sliding, boosts accuracy, stability, and handling. Not a critique--I'm a scrub and just thought it would be a good perk for sniping, and am honestly just interested in your thoughts on the perk and why you prefer others.
I slide with “hold to crouch” so I am pretty sure it does not count for me when I slide..I could be wrong tho I’m not really sure if it works for hold or not…but if you use toggle crouch to slide then firmly planted is very good
Hey everyone I appreciate all the support this list has been getting! I just wanted to clarify a few things that I’ve been getting a lot of comments about. I will probably make a settings video soon to show my sensitivity in game but I currently play on 16 sens and .6 ads. I have been messing with them a bit though in the last few days…Also I did not include heavy snipers or sunset snipers in this list on purpose so don’t worry they were not accidentally left out.. You mentioned doing scrims, I have been looking for a scrims group/community ever since I turned an opportunity to join one down awhile ago, I'm atrocious in pvp basically a Wallah class Jim lol. So I need to scrim especially since I don't play as much anymore :need to maximize my time investment!

How would you rank the revoker. I saw it in the kiosk and was just wondering what others think of it.

I like my eye of sol ensemble snapshot handling master work it’s not adept but I agree it’s the easiest sniper for me to use
