This model is an upgraded version of the R2-D2 model designed by GOODesign three years ago.
Key improvements to Foldable R2D2 include:
1. We created a sturdy support on the outside to prevent the arm from shaking. We also created supports on the inside of the bottom. Now, your arm will never fall off the bed.
2. It is designed to be color-coded so that various parts can be printed and attached separately according to color. It's a bit of a hassle, but the finished product looks amazing!
Since there are many parts, there are some things to be careful about.
1. It was designed in an slanted shape to reduce the risk of incorrectly attaching parts. Checking this slope carefully will reduce incorrect attachment.
2. The arm must be pulled outward so that it can be rotated down and fixed in its original shape.
Be sure to check the video and photos for details.
Now, we hope you can enjoy a more advanced Foldable design that includes color.

I like how the supports are designed into the model. It says a lot about the need for slicers to have better support options.
Thanks for watching and comment~
So far i have made about 15 different models from fab365. All of them have came out amazing. My fav print so far is Mario. the starwars stuff is super detailed as well. sliced with S3d with recommended settings. No issues...
the Fab365 models are awesome. They work great if you scale them up as well. I did some 175 scale star wars ships for my grandson and they turned out awesome
Thanks for the info! We are happy that you love our design. 😁
I have R2 printing right now. The white parts. I will have red, silver, and blue pla on Tuesday. Then I'm on to print the rest. Gonna do an R2-KT as well along with R5-D4.
That was a pretty clever robot design for the 70s.
Thank you~ Please enjoy~
Bro you are literally aswome❤❤❤just subscribed now

색분할과 조형이 참 좋네요.
스타워즈 프라모델 시리즈 제품 못지 않은 것 같습니다.
이번 영상도 흥미롭게 보고 갑니다~
yes, it's a crazy amount of detail, well done
좋은 말씀 감사합니다! 계속 열심히 하겠습니다.
Thanks~ Please enjoy~
NICE!! leg supports!! woot! :-D
The leg support is very strong. Please enjoy~
@@fab365_official a definite improvement!! I love your old R2 model but printing the legs was always frustrating as they'd come loose. I'm getting my Bambu X1C ready now to try out this new iteration, thank you!!
Got mine printing now. Will do a little timelape after
Thanks! We look forward to your timelapse video~ 😁
Is there an option to get the files supported for AMS / multicolor prints? I don’t like to glue.
Massa !
Hi, love your work, and am a Patreon supporter. Do you not get white artifacts by using that type of glue?
Thank you for supporting my Patreon. That glue makes very low white artifact.

@@fab365_official Thanks!

Please check this link. fab365.net/pages/14013138306/not_sticking_to_bed
Looks like he's using a brim.
*hit man!!, so tiny parts
The download page looks like some shady junk just to get files. No thanks.
It does look a bit sketchy tbh, but they've improved a bit over the last few months. I'm about 30 of their models deep. All have been fantastic except 1, or so I thought. I've realized that one was my fault in not realizing the filament I was using was heat soaking in the enclosed printer during the long print time at high quality.... long story short, they've got really good models and prices are rather low.
Yeah. Nothing shady about them.
What type glue did you use?
GOODesign uses this glue. www.shop.fab365.net/loctite
