Drone chases MASSIVE TORNADO AND GORILLA HAIL in the Pecos Valley of Texas!

- Check out this Dominator Drone intercept of a massive cone #tornado with softball size hail nearly taking it out of the sky yesterday in the Pecos Valley of Texas! Old faithful does it again with a prolific tornado producer south of Fort Stockton. Since the tornado would not cross Highway 285, we had to use the drone to capture a closer perspective. A moderate risk for likely #tornado outbreak has been issued for tomorrow in Oklahoma and Kansas
In the drone footage without any sound, it looks like a majestic beast off in the distance.
I knew you guys would love the no audio for once ha hav
@@ReedTimmerWx This means everyone watching this missed out on the "yougottabekiddingme yougottabekiddingme" :)
It is a Majestic Beast!
Reed can you please do a video of you returning the rental truck lmao 😂
ah yes a tornado in it natural habitat
Id like a live stream of reed returning a rental car
More so when it goes back after taking some big hits,
And being in the path a tornado.
I think it is pretty amazing he is not on some sort of black list for car rentals.
Me too lol.
Hah! SAME! I wonder what Reed is like when returning the cars. "sorry!"
@@DyingInPlainSight he mentioned a few times during the streams that it was a rental.
Pecos Hank has his own valley?
Haha😂
makes sense considering there a tornado smack dab in the middle of the
😂
My guy Hank....
Lmao thought the same thing
Edgar running with the blue pillow on his head to retrieve gorilla hail is priceless! I laughed so hard. You two are the perfect pair together.
priceless!
My dad dressed in felt hat and heavy coat to get us hail! I was 7 maybe. I. 80 now!
Reed you are a stellar person the way you helped those people when their truck flipped. You took the time to take these people to their home. God bless and stay safe out there. Haven’t you heard the saying, “Everything is bigger in Texas”.
He is definitely one of a kind with a kind heart and soul.
Reed you are a great WEATHER MAN. NOBODY AS DEDICATED AS YOU. Thank you for all your time and amazing footage you put together for all of us. Once again, THANK YOU. Cindy🕊✨
Drone view of the tornado with the apparent microburst to the left of it was especially fascinating.
The emotions a tornado can put you through in a matter of split seconds is immeasurable
BIG TIME TORNADO
Right? I was surprised by my various reactions. From excitement to sadness.
@rillgen8181 try watching one touch down and it's 3 blocks from your house. I was on 63 watching it touch down and could see it was so close to my house in jonesboro that I wouldn't know if it was hit til I got there. I've always wanted to see one, but that changed in an instant when I saw it dropping into the middle of town! I went from excited like my kid was fixing to be born, to panicked, to scared, to devastated to elated and then back to devastated all over again. My house wasn't hit thank god but it tore our town apart.
I really like Edgar as your chasing partner. Never stop chasing!!
Wow I’m so amazed at how drone footage changes so much in the capacity to see from new perspectives. Nice work!
Great work Reed, Brian and Edgar!
Love the drone shots. Such a fun addition to chasing footage. Y’all get some construction hats, okay?
And Safety Goggles too !!
What a stunning storm!
Sometimes it feels like Reed Timmer's intercepted every major tornado of the last 5 years. Simply the GOAT!
Certainly the loudest of all time.
Fantastic work Reed, Edgar and Brian!
Glad to see your still out here chasing and ”safe”. Best of luck to you and the crew
Lovely video. Beautiful storm in one of our favorite parts of Texas. You selected the chase area well. Thanks for sharing.
19k from 1 MILLION
I'd say we'll make it to 1 million in 4 days or at least in a week. Next tornado outbreak is comin
Seems crazy started watching around 420k subscribers! and here we are at almost 1million. 🤗
I remember what he was in college in OK. Just as enthusiastic then as now. Gotta love it!!
That gate area you were at on 285, the one you joked about is a huge hunting ranch. Family owned and been around since the 1800s
Absolutely incredible day just added to an incredible week. Thanks Reed and Edgar for some fantastic scenes and commentary as you sally forth once again.
Absolutely amazing what drones have done for storm chasing. Sometimes you just can't get very close... then enter the DRONE.
Great intercept Reed! So glad you could come chase in my state for the first time in awhile. Been quiet here in Texas really up until the last 2 or 3 weeks in general.
Silence is golden, good stuff Reed !
One of my favorites. From the studio radar to the field tornado, it all came together.
NELK BOYS LETS GET EM TO 1M !
This is incredible! I've been watching for years, but the tech upgrades just get better and videos more insane!
Watched this live yesterday. Can't believe the drone survived undamaged.
Love the drone footage...there's no screaming!
The structure of that gigantic hail stone showed how strong the updraft must have been to collect smaller stones again and again until it got too big & heavy to remain up there. Wow!
How does the drone not get pelted out of the sky by that hail
Brian is the best producer
Nice footage Reed beautiful tornado
Some of the greatest footage ever is from drones. The small change in perspective is such a dramatic difference.
I got caught in a hail storm in this area and there is no place to take cover. Huge hail plummeting my vehicle. I was screaming bloody murder for an hour! It was the scariest experience of my life. It blows my mind that people actually enjoy this!
You got to love your job when you go out and chase these tornadoes for scientific research
1 million sooooonnn 🎉🎉🎉
Edgar is a great chase partner
Jordan and Sierra are excellent too Sierra needs a microphone
Made it through the Gorilla hail without calling Safelite 😂 No replacement windshield needed ! Absolutely LOVE your content!
Instead of no sound, just have Reed saying, "BIG TIME TORNADO!"
It does look majestic!! I’ve been learning so much about weather from the streams, I’ve started noticing different weather patterns and things outside it’s so helpful! Always appreciate your content.
I want to see the tornado where Reed just says "Small Wimpy tornado here. Really quite pathetic."
That drone footage never fails to impress, extremely unique perspective
It appears tornado alley is still in tornado alley, lol.
Absolutely breathtaking shots. We can all tell you love doing your job well. 🙂
Turns out Reed is credited with the term gorilla hail. He may be a nice guy, but if he's in your town look out. He was in my city last weekend
Absolutely amazing footage!!!❤
Congratulations on 1 million Reed!
Another interesting chase! Thanks again for streaming and for the public service you provide when possible. Go Team Dominator!
reed timmer you have inspired me a lot and i would just like to say thank you i would love to get to meet you one day
I had been to Fort Stockton and Pecos a couple of weeks ago on the way to see the eclipse at Del Rio, I was pretty surprised when the tornado warning showed up but I then remembered that tornadoes are possible almost anywhere under the correct conditions.
Back in the old days, you were at least nice enough to give hocky gear to the guy collecting hail
Powerful Tornado and hailing Can't wait to see you chase more tornados this weel Reed Are you going to be in the DOM 3? Reed
Reed Dude 😎 you are like a 🤠. Cowboy at a Tornado 🌪️🌪️🌪️
Rodeo. What a Beautiful Ride THX StormG
Love never Fails 💖
The best out there Dr Reed 🎉🎉 Oklahoma proud.
Let's go early risers
Amazing footage!! You are my “go to” storm chaser. Stay safe.
great footage and chasing yest guys. need to have helmets, if you're going to play in and with hail!! i'd like to know what it costs Reed for rental cars!! that car had to be close to totalled! lol also love the sense of humor of all you guys, including Brian!
This takes me back to when i would watch storm chasers
Hi Reed, amazing video footage. Thank you. Keep the videos coming. Be safe . Safe travels to you and your crew. From Diane Perez of San Antonio , Texas
You're a champ! Thank you so much. Like me, you live for the wind :)
Would love to be out there. I was 6 visiting ND and saw a tornado try and form around the devils lake area with my dad. Been almost 20 years and I still remember being to amazed at what I was seeing to be scared.
Great footage Reed.
I've never seen a W Texas tornado on film before.
Great sound effects too. Sounded just like hail on a car.
😂
Thanks to your team man.
Those winds at the very end, where you said it's rapidly spinning, and you can see horizontal winds going past the car, was really intense. Would have like to have seen more of that but I guess you need a Dominator to pull it off safely.
Tim your the man
Really amazing footage!
Edgar's pillow! - excellent footage.
like the eye of a hawk, awesome 😏
Reed is a legend!! Nelk Boys!
Looks like a great place for a big tornado. In the middle of nowhere.
Those tornados out in the middle of nowhere get very ferocious. Their is nothing to impede their building and their strength at all. Ft. Stockton typically has some big tornados!
That looks so cool❤
What a time to be a storm chaser right now.
Isn’t that the truth
Congrats for 1M 🎉🎉
Just simply amazing
Reed Timmer is great at his profession !!! God continue to protect him and all the other storm chasers who risk their lives and safety to help protect others !!!😊 🙏❤
Why didn't God protect Tim Samaras?
Reed when I was little to long ago lol but my dad bought me a dolly that was tall and walked only thing he ever. bought me , mom and I where outside this was in Louisville Kentucky and a Tornado sirens went off mom grab me ran to the cellar or bath tub can't remember but I'll never forget the look of that Tornado, I dropped my dolly when mom pulled me and the Tornado went and took NY dolly about 5 miles away , a stork chaser well back then they were just weather men but he helped me find my dolly ill never forget , be safe and your on my bucket list would love to see and feel another one before my ending much love stay safe and kiss your puppy for me ❤❤
Cool head cover my dad had his felt hat and heavy coat to go get us hail when I was 7 ! From our side yard!
Amazing view of the tornado 🌪
New sub 💯
Now that is big hail!
I have watch you sence before channel 4.... your truely a man of your word. And the are women out there for men like us.....
amazing drone footage 🙌
Beautiful footage! But my favorite part of the stream was the "Yougottabekiddingme! Yougottabekiddingme!" 😂😂😂
On a serious note, of all the people you've had chase with you, Edgar, Jordan, and Sierra are my favorites. And Brian is the absolute best choice for the anchorman of the coverage!
Never stop chasing!! 🌪⛈️❄️🫡
I love watching your videos! You capture things most of us run from. Couple questions that pop in my mind, How much are gas costs in a spring season? How many cars and cameras have bit the dust? How many ER visits? I feel for anyone effected by these storms. But, d@mn beautiful views of nature! If answered in other videos please give a non-techy boomer a link.
Considering how far away that tornado was... that was a massive tornado.
Amazing footage, this one and the others. A suggestion: try to get some time lapses. I haven't watched all your videos, so I don't know if you've already done that. If not, there's the suggestion. You could attach a camera on the car, on do the time lapse with the drone. Thanks for the amazing videos!
Always terrifying yet can’t look away
This is really so scary I'm praying for everyone to get what they need and to keep safe 😮😢🎉❤
Got a at least 1 more month of crazy tornado weather ahead. Super stoked.
good job!
1 million subs??❤
Awesome
must be a heck of a drone to survive that hail???
Impressive hail-proof drone Reed? 😄🦍
How does the drone not get destroyed by the hail?
That is good size hail there.
I always like when they say it’s a violent tornado. Is there such thing as a gentle tornado? 😂
Don’t know what zone y’all live in but I’m in zone 9. I started my seeds in a greenhouse in February. It took them about 6 weeks to germinate. Next year I’ll use a heat mat. Here in April we have hit 90 degrees once and high 80’s here in May.
Evening team
My dji tried to fall out of the sky on a windy day, no idea how this dji is flying through rain and hail… impressive
Oh my what a baseball size hail stone... Edgar. Please be safe guys.
Good stuff
