- Francis Peter Thomas D'Souza well-known Konkani stage actor, composer, writer, and director was Mumbai. Amorously known in tiatr circles as Bab Peter passed away following a heart attack at the age of 52 in Bahrain FEB 19, 2005. It is symbolic his wife Late Bai Ophelia (Tragedy Queen) expired in Mumbai 19 FEBRUARY 2016 which was also 11th death anniversary of her husband.
Hailing from Anjuna, he began his career as a child artiste, introduced on the stage with songs given to him by his father Domnic D Souza. As time went by, he started composing his own songs, Sangonk Zata Zobar, was composed in 1963.His songs were specialised in themes pertaining to social evils, especially with political overtones. Bab Peter then began writing his own tiatrs Apurbaieche Teg Khambe, Konn Nhuim Konnancho and Tukam Kiteak Poddlam etc.

Jose Rod you are my favourite..... by singing a tribute song for Bab Peter you have refreshed my memories of seeing Bab Peter performing on stage during my growing up days. He was a humble and down to earth man... I truly miss him and remember him whenever i visit the CROSS MAIDAN in Mumbai. ( the CROSS is shaded after he sang the song for the CROSS which was open to sunlight) Jose Rod you are my favourite all time singer keep us all enlightened with reforming lyrics you are truly a gift to us from God.
