In my training we did pre-selector tuning. It is needed if you are moving the freq pairs more than three MHz either way. We would move them from 450 to 460 range. The RO we didn’t have to move much but our training was very thorough on the Quantar. This is a great video series. Thank you

I'm not all critiquing your methods, but I never pulled Quantar pre-selectors to tune them. It's been a couple of years though, so maybe my recollection is faulty! I enjoyed the video.

What version of Windows does one need to run the Quantar tuner software. 32 or 64 bit system? Have an ISO T that was gifted to me by another site technician about 30 years ago. I am very appreciative of this gift he gave me. It’s been one of the most helpful tools when I was servicing 800MHz LTR trunking systems in the past.
These videos were quite educational and very informative. BOY! Have these repeaters come a long way from the LTR systems I worked on. Been working with programming software and a "new" XTL5000. So many parameters to set. Looking for a Quantar capable for the low UHF split ( 405- 440 ish for use in Europe) I've been doing P25 simplex between radios here but it’s time to set up a P25 repeater to gain the distance needed. 73 from SV9 Land!

Is it possible to program the repeater (Channels, Power output,) through the front of the repeater?

Reference Modulation...you'll never get that square wave perfect. It will always have devil horns and will always be sloped when looking at scope. I seem to remember earlier versions of the service manual having near perfect examples which were never achievable.
Oh the Quantar stories I could tell...might be time to vlog some of those on my other account.
