Valian Trading Company is probably a close second, but siding with Huana is the only way to turn Principi into a peaceful organization. That fact alone mostly counts out the other factions. Plus, better for the Roparu, and don't have to do anything bad in game, like blow up the powder stores or assassinate the Queen, as with the other factions.
One of the best endings I’ve seen posted. I ended up with an almost identical ending in my own first playthrough. I see a lot of people online claim the Huana’s caste system makes them worse than the VTC, but the ending slides for the Gullet make it clear that the Huana’s system is adapatable and can provide plenty for the ‘lowest’ even at the scale of a major city without foreign interference sucking up resources.
The ending slides make no sense in that regard though. In fact, I'd say it outright contradicts what we saw in the game. We _see_ that the Kahanga elites didn't give a flying f*** about the Roparu before we came along, and we can even _only_ talk them into supporting the Gullet by threatening to go to the trading companies instead - and then they make us get rid of the trading companies. In a Huana playthrough, they literally make you eliminate the means of political pressure you used to get them to care about the Roparu at all in the first place. They have no reason whatsoever to stick to their word after that.
I tried to have my monk throw hands with Eothis and he blew me up 10/10 perfect ending
I went with the radical centrist route and sailed into Ukaizo on my own. This ending is definitely better lmao
I did the same, lol unlike Shin Megami Tensei games, the "centrist" path is not the ideal. Honestly, everyone sucks in Pillars 2 (in a good way, it's well written), corruption everywhere, among gods especially, among society... I almost choose the "destroy all" option (if there's a way), but I opted to make things "neutral" and the ending kinda sucks
Maia must despise you for this.. 😄
But this ending is wonderful all things considered.
Realize this is years old so no biggy if you don't remember but how did you get that Poko Kohara ending with everything else here? For me they scattered apart.
i love how Xoti is simp for eder
Especially funny if you romanced her. "Yeah, we sleep together, but who I have been really into this whole time was Eder"
@@MrUserasd ahahha XD i didnt know that
Hm... Female Pale Elf Spellblade (Assassin + Blood Mage) & Male Dwarf Ranger (Ghostheart) were my first attempts, back then. Can't say either would care about factions, flawed gods & politics at all. 🤔 `I once loved that waste of time they call roleplay, but no more.´
The rise of slavery. Yay!
Personally, I chose the side of the Empire. I had to kill Pallegina, but I never liked her anyway.
I hope this all will be important in "Avowed"
I dont remember who I chose but I do know I hated the Huana
They all have issues, but Huana are the only ones that let you turn the Pirates into a shipping fleet. And they are the only ones that don't force you to kill anyone. They are the best, all things considered, imo.
Huana and Castol's VTC are pretty much tied IMO, the VTC has the downside of being imperialistic colonizers and though Castol doesn't seem to be entirely ok with slavery it's possible it'll return under that ending.
So why could it potentially stack up to Huana in my eyes? Well it's not really better for the Deadfire or its people, admittedly...
But, in the vast majority of the endings, the Wheel has been destroyed and humanity is rapidly approaching an almost inevitable conflict with the gods (the gods have shown willingness to destroy multiple cultures for being "too close to discovering the truth" and as animancy and metaphysics are advancing in Eora worldwide, the conflict is all but inevitable).
So who offers the best chance in that inevitable conflict for THE WORLD? The VTC; Castol's VTC makes leaps and bounds in animantic research which, despite its drawbacks, is basically the only force shown capable of ever actually hurting gods (aside from other gods). After all, Animancy is what made the gods- and it's been shown that when properly advanced, it can unmake them. It's basically "I accept that this is not the best for the Deadire, the Huana get screwed over much more than in their ending, but Castol's animancy research may be our last, best chance to actually be able to fight the gods on even ground."
Interesting food for thought and both are very good endings compared to all other choices, but to me the worldwide needs of animancy trump the Huana's better leadership of the archipelago (and the peaceful poirates).
@@ilsensine1 Bruh Huana is weak, Principi is grim. You must choose vailian or royal deadfire :D
@@bilgekagan7285 Huana is weak? They can shape water. They helped me get through the storm before Ondra's mortar. From Ukaizo they learn even more. You know how much power is that on the sea? Also, it's their land. And their right. Not those newcomers'.
@@vivenkeful They can not shape water anymore because i release what they enslaved unethically :D and Huana is not improved on science while vailians are capable on science as nearly as gods thanks for the animancy and Rauataians have great engineers. Huana gets its power from mystic things and you can not advance in civilization if you dont advance on science :D
