- This is a quick video on how to update Onion OS using the built-in WiFi updating tool. As of the making of this video version 4.2.3 has just come out, However this should work for all updates going forward until the Onion OS team states otherwise.
If you are needing to install Onion OS from scratch follow my tutorial here:

Que buen video muchas gracias pero tengo una duda, hay que tener una tarjeta formateada para instalar el onion os vdd! pero primero pongo la memoria en mi miyoo e instaló el onion y ya después le pasó todos los rooms?o puedo pasar todo de una vez ?
You have to do the step where you put the SD card in the Miyoo Mini and finish the OnionOS installation before moving the roms over.
Do you know how to put back the "-Filter" and "-Refresh roms" in the games list? I have many sd cards, and some has it and some dont. Its before game #1 and the end of the list after Z. How do i put it back?
I think that shows up after you use a filter once. If you go to the games list and then hit the Y button(unless you changed the default). Select Filter list and type something in and hit start. After that you should have the options on the games list. Then if you want to get rid of it you just hit Y again and hit refresh roms and that will remove it from the list.
@@PhyrexTechs OMG! you are right! I pressed Y and filtered a random word, then clear filter, after that it appeared! I have to do it all the games list. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Awesome! Glad to help!
Thanks bro
No problem!
Nice. Thanks.
Thanks for checking it out!
@@PhyrexTechs im having some trouble with placing new games (multi disc ps1) on my miyoo mini plus. I've been successful with others, but there are games with multiple files with different file types. For example, im trying to wild arms 2 on my MM+ but it has .ccd, .sub, and .img.ecm files. I don't know if I need to compress them and I don't know how to, or if I need to just do one of the files. I tried putting them in notepad and saving under a different type, but it did work. I've exhausted all of my option so far. Can you please help.
@@Khaeiou7 That's a tough one. So .sub and .ecm files are used when you want a disc to be able to run on a ps1 console. You will not need those for emulation. The .ccd file is not supported by MM+ and you will want to convert that into a .iso or .cue if possible. Best option would be to use daemon tools to mount the .ccd file and maybe ImgBurn software to then burn it as a different format. Never done that myself so I can't offer too much help other then recommending that as an option. The only other way would be to try to source the game in a different format. I would recommend CHD files if possible. One of my latest videos could point you in the right direction.
I have a video that will help with multi-disk games czcams.com/video/ivSJIyvjBd0/video.html but that will only help once you can get it to an .iso or .cue file.
Ok ill see if that works. Hopefully.thank you so much in advance
No problem!

My miyoo only has some chinese apps on the app section, no package, also I notice your UI is very different from mine
Are you sure you are running Onion OS? You may be on the stock OS. If you you could install Onion OS with following this video. czcams.com/video/jGjG1_Iuyx8/video.html. Make sure to back up your games and bios files if you don't have your own collection of roms. In the description of that video I show where those folders are located on the SD card.
I also have Chinese apps and it says Onion Os. Maybe will just have to reinstall it with a new version.
@@georgehancock2307 Yeah, most likely it will need to be reinstalled.
I updated with this method and now the games aren't loading. Anybody know why?
A couple things to try.
1. Try refreshing the ROMs list by hitting select and choose refresh ROMs. Then try to launch them again.
2. On the SD card go to ROMs then pick one of your system and delete any .xml files you see then try the refresh ROMs again if that works then repeat on other systems.
If those don't work you can try updating manually.
Even if you have already updated following these instructions can sometimes fix some problems onionui.github.io/docs/installation/update
If none of those work you will probably have to reinstall. Just make sure to back up your roms and save games if you have to do that.
4.2.0 one on but don't update to 4.3
As of right now 4.2.3 is the latest version. 4.3 has not been released yet.
I DONT HAV PACKAGE MANAGER
If you are missing package manager on Onion OS you may just have to do a manual update/install.
