Can you share a video on how to propagate from the stem? I bought a batch of baby blue Eucalyptus from the florists and hope to regrow it indoors:) Look forward to your gardening tips
Very well explained and informative video! I am interested also to know about the features and benefits of this plant aside from its aroma or fragrance. According to some studies, this tree is also considered as anti-pollutant because it absorbs higher amount of CO2 (carbon dioxide) than the other tree species. Also, they are insect repellant like mosquitos. Thanks for sharing this important infor and stay connected!
Thank you! Will definitely stay connected! I was going to add the benefits too but I prefer to keep my videos just shy of 8 mins :) There will be a part 2 then! Take care always, @LayBits TVlog!
hi what do suggest when fresh eucalyptus cuttings are already 3 days in a vase. Will putting them in a glycerin with water be Ok to preserve them or better to dry them instead? Thanks☺️
Hello! I have tried it before but I the stems rotted. It's safer to start them from seeds. My plant actually started as a seedling and it has grown exponentially in just a matter of 2 months :)
I tried and my eucalyptus after a few weeks turned blackish green and looked dirty. What did I do wrong? 😭 Does that happen if there is too much glycerin, not enough glycerin? Can it happen if there are too many branches in one bucket?
Hi LunaCy! I grow them indoor so i pit them near a window where they can get bright indirect sunlight. I think under a shading net if you’re growing them outdoor would work well
My question is how often can someone harvest stems off of a plant in one year. I am attempting growing 6 plants in my grow area. And I plan to pot up into nursery plant pots. I am in a short season, but have a nice window and a light area for warmth. If they grow and 200 days would bring me to June. Will I be able to have a few in my subscriptions? How much can I expect to have to use for anything? Thank for your time
I grow and sell from cuttings or propagations. There are plants that do great when cut more often, while other plants may suffer a bit but bounce back. You should have more plants before the end of your growing season as long as you start early. I also live in an area with short growing season. I put out my plants after the last frost and and make sure to bring them back in the fall. I have set-up grow tents and grow lights to help keep my plants thriving in the cold season.
If you're looking for a stem cuts, most floral shops have them. If you're looking for plants, and if you're based in the USA, you won't find them in big box stores like Lowes or Home Depot. I usually find them in specialty nurseries and it's been a hit and miss :)
I havent tried hanging dried eucs in my shower. Always hang the fresh harvests. As for the smell, they’re not as fragrant anymore but they are still stunning!
Hi! I'll do an episode on this in the spring! You can take a cutting, dip it in a fungicide and let it dry for a few minutes. Then dip it in a rooting hormone, put in moist soil and place it near a bright light window :) Thanks for the suggestion!

Hello there thank you for the video. I live in Bali,Indonesia. What is best lighting for them? Direct sun or under shade cloth/shading net?
Hi LunaCy! I grow them indoor so i pit them near a window where they can get bright indirect sunlight. I think under a shading net if you’re growing them outdoor would work well
@@Mavigation thank you!
Hi bought some eucalyptus but its not smelling. What so I do or am I doing something wrong
Which one is better in terms of colour changes & longevity, dried or using glycerine?
Definitely Glycerin is much better
Hi, im from Indonesia and growing 5-6 kind of eucalyptus without know what the latin name of them. Can you help me to check on it please?
Do you arrange the preserved eucalyptus and dried flowers in a container with water, soil, or just air?
Hello!Just in a vase with nothing in it, so just air :)
I lovee the aesthetic of eucalyptus so much but unfortunately I’m allergic to it..

Wow if you have them indoord no need for candles or room sprays . Mabango pa rin ba sila after ma preserve?
Thanks, sis! Yes, they still smell good but not as mentholy. Combination of menthol and the smell of fall season :)
If you preserve them, would they still keep their smell?
No, you will have to replenish them
Do you recommend an online shop to get them? I have been looking at pur home depot but no luck

After preserving the eucalyptus, can you hang them in the shower or the next 6-9 months and the aroma still be released with the steam?
I havent tried hanging dried eucs in my shower. Always hang the fresh harvests. As for the smell, they’re not as fragrant anymore but they are still stunning!
Excellent question... about the smell being preserved or not
Hi, can I preserve Hydrangeas with the same method by using glycerin?
Yes, you may!! I have preserved a few hydrangea varieties in the past. They lasts for about a 8 months until they start to lose their vibrancy.
When you preserve the eucalyptus does it still have the same scent
I just smelled them. it’s been about 4 months since i dried them and they still have some eucalyptus smell, but not as fragrant.
