  • The Shortest War in History was fought between the British Empire and the Sultanate of Zanzibar in 1896, lasted just 38 minutes and is now known as the Anglo-Zanzibar War. This war happened during the backdrop of the scramble for Africa - a particularly tense period where various European colonial claims were fought over and is remembered as one of the shortest wars ever with it lasting less than one hour. But why did the war start? How did the war end? And why was it so short?
This short history documentary will cover all - and more so make sure to like, subscribe and let me know in the comments if there are any other topics you would like to see me cover.
