I’m a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but that does not stop me from loving these old EFKS vi’igas! I just wish the EFKS churches today still sung the vi’igas like this without the beats and piano! EFKS was the first church on the island of SAMOA!
Same here, I’m LDS too. I love our own hymns, but I love efks hymns too, not only because we sang them in school back in the day every morning to start the day, but also because they are sung in true Samoan style.
I love these songs. As a kid i would closed my eyes n just fell asleep during church as they were sootging. Next minute somewhere in my sleep i felt a little whipped on my shoulder and it was one of the sunday school teacher that kept an eye on us to behave. Those were my memories lustening to these beautiful songs and especially the words..😊. You are a Samoa from moment you in your mummys tummy, then entered this world, your school, family n church and some of us dont continue with church but you never forget who you are, where you from whereever you are until you leave this world you are a Samoa🇼🇸❤

Speechless...I wish all these hymn sung by the Teachers Training College are in CD. Please let me know if there is a CD of TTC singing all these Hymns...God Bless Samoa.
just beautiful! Samoan churches need to keep the keyboard. It makes these beautiful Samoan hymns sound generic and elementary. Don't you guys realize how beautiful and awesome the Samoan harmony sounds just fine w/ out these cheap instruments ruining these gifted voices and spirit!!
100% agree. The keyboard and 90s style beats that accompany most, if not all Samoan singing today should be removed. That's not real Samoan singing, this is.
you are so disrespectful!! this is a masterpiece! EFKS was the first church to ever set bound on Samoan soil, this is how our ancestors sang it back in the days!! AOG just came yesterday! im not EFKS or AOG but does it really matter???? we all worship the same God anyways. You just scooped yourself down to the lowest level and dragged your church with you too.
who cares what church sings the song first. there are Pentecostal songs that sung in efks. Obviously the people with no degree of understanding Gods work. lol
MsBronx05 EFKS cant be the first religion/church in Samoa? white man brought religion to the islands and I don't think they made EFKS lol i'm assuming christian/queens church/catholic..
LMS now called EFKS was indeed the first church in Samoa. That's why Efks is heavily influenced by the Gospel also tradition. These hymns are gold, I was raised AOG, but prefer Efks or Mekokisi
Efks was the first church in samoa it was called back then LMS (London Mission Society) the first Christian settlers to samoa was in 1830 Savai'i in the village of sapapali'i it was John Williams who brought the "talalelei" to samoa. I'm pretty sure I'm right on that one but correct me if I'm wrong. Cheers 😊

O mai lava e tauaso
E mama'i ma e vaivai
E fa'ate'aina uma
Mea tou te leaga ai
O le toto, o le toto o Iesu
O le toto, e mauai le filemu

Lona alofa ua tumau e liliu e faavavau

I agree with you...the only way church "Samoan Hymn" should be sung.
Fa'amanuia le Atua.
Beautiful lyrics EFKSrep
@VaiTimo Efks was the first church to set foot in Samoa way before AOG started came to Samoa this is one of their hymns #123
again its not about who set foot first in Samoa, But who does the will of God. Just what Jesus said. Read your bible 😂
