Check the harness that connects the wiring under the glove box... that's the only thing that could make something go wrong. Could've possibly disconnected itself.
yes, but judging by the connection, the color of these panels will repeat the color of the legs subgrid!!!! and not the color of the panels in the door cards or the instrument panel!
This exact product will not. I'm not sure if they make something similar for the 5 series, though... if they do, it could possibly be something along the same process for installation.

guys did you figure out how to take the plastic/carbon bit off, there are two more bolts underneath (6 in total) that I have also taken off but it is still holding against something?

I have a regular 2020 330i that didn’t come with any ambient lighting. Will this work for me even if I don’t have the software of the color change

Nope... Panels. If I switch it to violet/white, the violet from the panels still appears instead of the white from the floor.

Would the procedure be the same for a manual transmission model?
According to manual gearbox owners who have bought this product, it is not compatible.
Is this always on or you can turn it off via the menu too?
It's connected through the ambient lighting so whatever you can do to the stock lights will also happend to the aftermarket lights.
How do I put metal clips onto new light
Take them off with a flat head from the OEM piece and slide them into the new one... they were a little tough to get off, but nothing difficult.

I used a small flat head screwdriver and popped them off.. kind of a pain in the ass to be honest, but it worked.
