Second Chance is from the "The Sound of Madness" album from 2008. Brent Smith spent much of 2007 writing new material with Rick Beato of Black Dog Sound Recording Studios in Stone Mountain, GA, for this album.

In NZ for ages all we knew about Shinedown was this single. It got thrashed on radio and I it took me years to give this band a "second chance" but man, I'm glad I discovered all their catalogue. This song still holds up many years later too. Respect.
