I cannot get the pump off the motor. I've removed the clips, but the pump seems welded to the motor shaft. Suggestions?

Try twisting the motor.

@@mcgufbd what kind of machine are you working on. They're not all the same. Some have three screws you got to remove from the backside of the motor.

@@HaroldJackson it's an old Whirlpool ultimate care. Good news is I managed to get it off. The shaft is rusted really bad and was stuck to the metal connector in the pump. I now need a new pump, but....
I'm getting it off I hit the electrical wiring connector and it crumbled. The bottom fin/connector fell out. How easy is it to replace the wiring connector from the side of the motor? And suggestions on getting rust off the motor shaft?
When is it time to throw in the towel and buy a new washer?

Why would one replace the pump? How would 1 know that a pump is bad? Man oh man.....
