Parental Reflection - The Skatepark is the "Skater's Sanctuary" for Everyone

A parent's reflection on the 2/1/2023 skate session at Milpitas Skatepark with the night crew. At the skatepark, people of various and diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, race, demographics, and abilities come together to enjoy skateboarding.
Our world is seemingly spiraling downwards fueled by increasing anger, hate, resentment, discrimination, entitlement, selfishness, self-serving, crime, and a general lack of respect, politeness and compassion. There are too many images and clips of people being untoward and unkind and in some cases violent or abusive towards another person.
This short clip from Milpitas Skatepark last night exhibits the polar opposite and shows the 'Skater's Sanctuary' where all kinds of bad things in our world may be happening and continue to occur outside the skatepark's fence, but while inside, we reside in a sanctuary of peace, harmony, community, friendship, freedom and fun.
