This beat was so ahead of its time
Hell yea
1996 he was alredy in 2020 lol🐐
@@denzeltut2676 wish could of seen pac reaction when first heard beat
@@Jaybeast5x his eyes big open🔥💎
Truth 💯
I'm impressed to realize this beat is from 1996. It sounds like it was made in the 2010s
@@persianplug no 1996
Both y'all wrong, it was made in 1995 . Devonte
@@gotemcoach2346 Honestly, who knows when it was made, we just know when the song was released. It could've been made in 91 for all we know and just sat in the reserves until Pac decided to hop on it. And Devonte gets the credit, but we know Timbaland did this one.
@@RiskyTVcomActually Memphis producer SMK who was with Devante and Tim said he did it.
This beet was sampled or remixed on dj Esco album for Future's song, Right Now. This beat is definitely ahead of its time and still dope asf.
this beat is like a 90s trap, insane!
the guy that did the drums (smk) pretty much pioneered that "trap" sound and he taught dj squeeky and likely taught dj paul how to make beats (used to give paul drums n samples) and those two dudes heavily impacted these trap producers
@@lee_driftingyou can hear a lot of SMK's influence all throughout Timbalands early stuff drum wise.
@@phillytnoize yup timb got his style from him. they both used to under devantes crew da bassment too
Pac really used this in 1996 😬💀💀
People are sleeping on pacs beats..so ahead of its time
Big up Devante for this majestic beat
I try
@@DevanteRackley good shit my boy 😅
fav 2pac song. best beat ever.i agree its WAY ahead of his time. whoever made this beat needs to be the richest man alive.
It’s Devonte smooth from Jodeci who made it
@@JR-un7uj
It's *DeVante Swing*
This shit so ahead of its time
devante swing is definitely a time traveler for making a trap beat in in the 90s
This beat gives me Halloween vibes like it has a somewhat spooky vibe to it and the way that bass is knockin is perfect for bumpin in your whip
Kinda reminds me of dr.dre's murder ink
@@sezoabdula8581 it almost sounds like Devante sampled the Michael Myers theme then chopped it up and made a whole new melody
They should used this song in some horror movies
DeVante's production. People like to say Tim ghost-produced this, but even the engineer Dave Arons has interviewed talking about DeVante working on this beat (literally, the interview is on youtube). People really need to understand what producing actually means. It doesn't mean the producer played every instrument. It means he built, constructed, conceived the song. He's the architect, not necessarily the contractor. But in De's case, he was often all of those things. The synths, the piano, the vibe of the entire song was DeVante. As for the drums, SMK brought that drum style from Memphis to Da Bassment. And Missy liked the style. That's how Tim started creating it through his own productions. Confirmed by many of the other artists in Da Bassment.
Great comment
Best song on the album , even over California Love which was cool for mainstream radio but this was for hardcore Hip Hop heads , dark and brilliant.
Always felt this was ambitionz az a ridah part 2. Under rated beat for sure.
It is a good follow up after ambitionz as a ridah, because those 2 songs get u pumped up for sure.
Let’s not forget the Memphis producer who did the drum pattern on this also! Memphis is underrated in hip hop!
This is a GEM.
Pac cemented this track 7fit under
Devante Swing was a menace for this beat 😬
This shit is filthy!!!! Still over alot of these beats today 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like how you can vaguely hear Pac still rapping in the background. The lyrics are so legendary that they couldn’t just compose the instrumental version. 😂
Thanks Bro!, this Is the official!!
You're welcome!
still don’t understand how this songs 808s bumped this hard since it was made in 96, damn near the first trap beat
"War drums", was the quote I heard someone say once...
Who else still hears the vocals in the background 😂
not vocals just adlibs
Deadly and Devine, miracle mind, as God designed, picture rolling on the grind, gettin gracious, malicious, never changing face, flows legit , bitch I can spit, she got assthat don’t quit, damn she she stay fit, trick I’m lit,
Thanks again for your concern about music for
Isaac .
🤔I’m trying to think if I can blend this with a Pop Smoke acapella?
TF? You need a KDot or JCole calibur artist to even lace Pac's left shoe 😅
Heavy.
"War drums", was the quote I heard someone say once...
Appreciate tha love nd listening nd doing my own style
My favorite rapper
This beat sounds like someone running from Jason in the woods. Jason coming for that ass!
More like Michael Myers
The ultimate song for a horror movie based on rappers. Even south park paid hommage to Pac and biggie in their episodes
Timbaland and Dvante Swing
smk and devante. timb did not create the drums
@@lee_drifting Definitely Timbaland, but he was ghost producer at the time so Devante got all the credit. Growing up in the 90s, most of us "hip hop heads" knew it was him that made the beat, Timbaland just has certain signature styles that you can clearly hear. He finally admitted it a couple years ago on a Twitter post.
@RiskyTV no homie, it was already confirmed by smk that he did the drums. also king jc confirmed that smk did the drums because he used to work with him back in the 90s and heard him play the drums before smk gave it to devante. him and timbaland used to work under devante when they were in da bassment. timbaland started doing smks drum style because missy elliot liked his style and wanted timb to do it rnb style
@@lee_drifting spot on.
*DeVante*
We need to challenge this beat
its almost as good as "Me N My Kup" and "Keep It Cool" its crazy and they're both made in 2023-2024
the shit u can still hear is so TOUGH!!! This is the perfect instrumental.
Devonte!!!
Twista would've fit perfectly on this
Maaaaaaaaan... 🌪️🌪️🌪️
I heard Timbaland was a co-ghost producer
you heard wrong noob hahahahaha
@@lordsosa9383e was bruh. He was Devante Swings protege at the time. Timbaland also confirmed it on twitter some years ago. He was uncredited.
@@Kizzyxh Wasn't Devante Swing around with Jodeci before Timbaland? I thought Tim , Missy , Ginuwine were all under Devante
on his label and he was their mentor , I don't think Tim could've taught him anything but I could be wrong.
@@fawkkyutuu8851That’s not what I said. I said Timbaland was Devante’s protege. Which mean Devante is the mentor. He worked very closely with Devante on production during this time period.
@@Kizzyxhmy bad i read it wrong.
Base og só good instrumental

GANNGOOOO
i hear vocal
What bpm is this? Could almost spit a grime verse to this
Late but 77 bpm
Devonte gets the credit, but we know that's you Timbaland. You can't hide those drum patterns. Truly ahead of your time!!
Nope, SMK programmed the drums. DeVante did the rest
Devonte was kinda like the DJ Khalid of the 90s, meaning he knew how to put good talent together. And like Khalid, he would have his name on a lot of the work, as he owned the rights. And let's face it, many people in the 90s just signed contracts and didn't really know what they were signing. Long story short, many of the beats that Devonte gets credit for weren't actually made by Devonte.
That’s complete nonsense.
