- I couldn't find a decent translation so I made my own. The motivation to create these subtitles came from a painful ending to a long relationship. I've listened to this many times over the years and it has always brought me to tears. Not so much over the loss anymore, but because of Josh's sublimely beautiful performance.
I hope the video helps to heal a loss, strengthen a bond or create a new one. The song is about the power of love and how it connects us to each other. - Hudba

If there is anyone on earth that sings better than Josh Groban, I never heard him. Josh chooses wonderful music, but in truth, he could sing the phone book and it would sound awesome. His fans will always be with him. Per Te forever Josh!
I'm a classic rock/metal fan mostly but discovered Josh's music through my mom! Has a great voice,no question about that.
He didn't "choose" to sing this song: he and Walter Afanasieff wrote the melody and Marco Marinangeli wrote the lyrics.

I must say, of all english native singers, Josh is the one that sings perfectly in Italian. And I dare to say also in Spanish. No wonder he's my favourite singer ever.
His italian is much better than his spanish. The italian accent is perfect. The spanish accent...not so perfect as italian! 🙂

@@ariadna_24 I thought it was just me. You see, I'm a Spanish speaker, and I notice his pronunciation (and style) is great, but he does show a bit of an accent. For some reason, Italian suits him a lot better. He even reminds me of Andrea Bocelli. 😊
@@miguelidcomm I think his parents were from Russia. I am from Belarus. When I went to Italy and tried to speak Italian, Italian people said to me that my pronunciation was perfect in their language. Just an observation.

Every single time I hear Josh sing, it reminds me of my grandfather I never knew. I've only heard stories, He was an excellent singer. My father tells me, that he made grown men cry. I have been told I have a very nice voice. I believe that it's due to my Grandfather. I know that even he's not physically here on Earth he's still watching over me. In his honor, I'm trying to learn a good handful of American and Italian songs. And hopefully, sing in my High School's talent show.

I consider myself fairly strong emotionally so how is it listening to Josh Groban sing - especially Per Te - completely bring me to my knees? The man's voice, in my opinion, is as close to perfection as it can be. Also, major kudos to his orchestra, vocal coach(es) and everyone else involved who makes this possible!

During the early 2000s I was stationed in the Middle East with the US Army. In the evenings, while performing weapons maintenance, I would put on my headphones and listen to music. Josh Groban was, and continues to be one of my favorites. Per Te always gave me hope I would come back home and be with the love of my life. During the day time, while on operations and driving my truck, I would sing Per Te to myself. It was very soothing. This song will always be one of my very favorites. Thank you so much for uploading it.

@@qasion I agree that there's a lot of singers that sing better than him. And a way lot more that sing worse. I don't know if she's american or not (you're assuming too much) but in English "the best" doesn't mean necessarily "the best", but it can be "my favorite". To me he's "the best", even though there are better singers, because to me he has the most beautiful voice, I love the majority of his songs (those wrote by him, the ones other people wrote for him and the covers he has done), he is a great piano player, he is a great person and the way he talks about music inspires me and a lot of Grobanites.

I cried when I learned the English, I cried when I first heard the Italian a few years back but the translation is so beautiful and a great inspiration for me to learn Italian which I've always wanted to do, josh's Italian songs have inspired me to learn.

Love this song and Josh's vocal on it. The 2004 AOL Sessions performances are probably my favorite performances of his ever, and that's saying a lot because I love his voice. Those performances were so heartfelt and passionate.
There are also AOL Sessions from 2002 and he sang "Gira Con Me (Questa Notte)" and "Vincent". I don't remember if it was another one. I think he sang 3, but I'm not sure. Look it up. It was gorgeous!
Kudos to his band, all the people it takes to enhance such a beautiful voice =)
