- Hey loves! So I been dying my own hair for about 2 years now. I was tired of jet black so I wanted some color. This is just a video on how I dyed my hair from jet black to honey blonde without bleach. The materials are as followed:
*TWO of the Dark and Lovely New Fade Resist color box (Light Golden Blonde 384
*Clairol Professional Soy 4PLEX Toner (High Lift Cool Blonde 12A)
* (40) Cream Peroxide Developer
*Gloves
*Hand Held Mirror
*Comb
*Mixing bowl for dye
*Dye application brush
*Plastic cup
*vaseline or hair grease

I’m pretty nervous about doing this myself, but waaay easier than bleaching solo. I hope mine give what it’s supposed to.

I tried this a few years ago exactly the same dark and lovely honey blonde no bleach and my hair barely changed Color it want from black to brown-Black lol glad you got it to work for you

Your scalp didn't burn 😮 from combing? You have to lift the color or tone it..In 1 day you did a double process? Most hair falls out from that...it usually takes 1 or 2 weeks wait.. Woe Jesus. It's a wonder it didn't turn white platinum blond. I usually have to use a rinse then..... Looks good sis👏🏾
Thanks so much! It did not burn my scalp because, I did not scratch my hair days before plus I did not comb my hair hard. I just combed it to get the dye through my roots. Also, the did not use harsh chemicals so I was able to do everything in one day. However, I did use bleach before and it would always burn and I would have to take day breaks to make sure my scalp was okay and that my hair was conditioned and moisturized.

What shampoo and conditioner do you use after applying this is my first time trying
I use the Shea Moisture Jamacian Black Castor Oil Strength & Restore Shampoo and Conditioner.
you can also use purple shampoo to help change the orange look to a more blonde color.

Will this work on hair that was dye jet black with dark and lovely ? It’s way to dark for me so I want to go to a dark brown
Yes but the color may not come out as bright. It is hard to go from jet black to blonde.
I dyed my hair black an want to got to honey blonde what should I do?
Use Colour Oops to strip off the black. Might need to use it a couple times for you to finally bleach or do whatever to lighten your hair.

That and the fact she previously dyed her hair with a dye that has a pink/red base. Pink, red, and blue are very hard to get out of the hair.

Isn't cream peroxide a form of bleach?
No, Creme peroxide is a more gentle substance that helps lift the color. Bleach is extra harsh.
Hair bleach is ammonia and peroxide. She’s using a lighter/lifter which does contain peroxide… It is more gentle than the combination of the two. It is still a chemical reaction.
I thought u apply toner with conditioner?
No, you can apply toner on dry or wet hair.

You really don’t need to be covering your hair with a cap. I don’t know why people still do that. Nothing in the directions says to do that and you actually need to let your hair breathe while it’s processing. Came out nice though.
