Thank you this is great! Not sure if this has been requested already, I would love to hear about what is on your watercolor pallette, maybe hear about the properties of those colors. And what you use the pallette for (like landscapes, portraits, etc.) Thank you so much I look forward to exploring your videos. They are highly informative and straight to the point, also I really like that you add text to your videos.

Hi Miriam, I do have two videos, one just came out that talks about my palette and the colors I use. Here is the links for both: czcams.com/video/YAbUKFg6SxA/video.html and czcams.com/video/Uy-H_NmLaAM/video.html
I will add the idea of some colors for different subjects to my video list. Thanks for the comment and feedback.

I love quinacridone gold and phalo green (bs). Cobalt turquoise and hansa deep makes a bright green and I use cobalt turquoise as a granulating bright green staple as I would with the Phalo greens. I don’t have the apatite or serpentine (only so many spaces) I love the hansa deep over the new gamboge because the hd is much more brighter likewise the arlide deep just aren’t as bright. I would rather have the ability to get the brightest and the desaturate as needed. So I removed new gamboge and arlide deep from my palette. So many ways to mix right? If I run out of quin gold then the nickel azo yellow and burnt orange are there. I use the azo yellow as my lightest yellow or lemon. Thank you for discussing your favorites. I am in the middle of a very detailed frog painting so those desaturated greens are so important. Interestingly the DS neutral sometimes just looks better than the complimentary color. But I firmly believe that having that knowledge is vital then one can “break the rules”. Love your more advanced discussions. Thank you and take care. :)

Jennie, Thanks for some of your green mixes. I will have to give them a try. I totally agree I go with brighter mixes first and then can always mute them if need be. I have not tried Hansa deep. My New Gamboge is a single pigment, but I just saw on the Daniel Smith chart that it is now two pigments. So, I will have to look at Hansa Deep (single pigment) and maybe switch out the N.G. I have never used DS Neutral tint, but I know some that really like it. Enjoy working on your frog!
