      @kasiasleatherschool  Před 3 měsíci

      Hi.
      I use Guttermann threads sizes from 30-80.
      They're polyester threads.

    • @kasiasleatherschool
      @kasiasleatherschool  Před 2 lety +1

      You’re welcome 😊
      I would recommend anything thicker then 120,so sizes 70,80 and 30 are great for leather sewing. I Use Guttermann brand.

    • @kasiasleatherschool
      @kasiasleatherschool  Před 3 měsíci

      If it is soft leather, you should be fine. Are the seams top stitched or glued? If top stitched, it might leave the holes where you run off the seam.

    Kasia, what does it mean to cut 1pair main or 2 pair main, as opposed to cut 1 main.

    • @kasiasleatherschool
      @kasiasleatherschool  Před 2 lety

      1 main means single piece cout out from main fabric. Pair means 2 pieces cut out from folded fabric to be mirror of each other.

    What is the best stitch length to use when topstitching leather? And best tension setting?

    • @kasiasleatherschool
      @kasiasleatherschool  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Stitch length depends on the thickness of leather and your preference of design, as all top stitching is a fashion feature . Tension needs to be adjusted in relation to thread thickness you will use.
      Always set your machine on the scrap of the leather you are going to use.
