Rare and Unique Hunter Pets in WoW Classic

This video was a ton of fun, I got super lucky with these spawns and it's been pretty great leveling with Araga, OCJ and m'assranch on my alt hunters.
Are there any other rare or unique hunter pets you would have liked to have seen in this guide? I think I covered all the ones I'd consider unique, but let me know!
Any advice for how I can improve the vids? Post it in the comments! I'd love some feedback.

Right! I wonder why he never spawns. I ran it like 5 times leveling my orc hunter trying for that bow.
I guess bosses with "hunter" in the name just like to disappoint hunters.
Humar was a lot harder to get for alliance on a pvp server. A friend with a horde toon helped me by talking to other horde in the area. I renamed him 'Cataclysm'. It was funny that 2 xpacs later was named 'Cataclysm'. I still have him as well as the Ghost Sabre which my daughter (on her hunter) and I tamed one day. I named him 'Prism'. That was before rares kept their rare names.
It really is a huge bummer that the special abilities those pets have weren't allowed in classic.
I still have a weak spot for the black armored boar and I'm really happy that Blizz made the HD model look equally cool, if a bit different from the original. Mazzranache is a close second based purely on visuals, how can you not love such a snazzy looking boy.

I remember back in my teens when I had to get past getting ganked by horde for an hour just to have a random guy kill humar mid tame causing me to check for his spawn every 8 hours 😂 thanks for this video, you just made me re install wow after 8 years off

No love for my boy Takk the Leaper? A shame, especially considering that his pre-nerf chase speed could run down epic mounts.
Deathmaw, rare black wolf in Burning Steppes, is harder to nab than OCJ. Main reason is, all of his spawn areas are among heavily quested mobs, mainly the mobs for "Dragonkin Menace". Took me almost 2 months of near-nonstop camping to get him, only saw him alive once prior and was killed before I got to him. His unique feature is a 1.2 attack speed, shared by Slavering Worgs in SFK.
Shaw him once , could have tamed him but i couldn’t abandon my broken tooth there ;(
You made the right choice. The emotional toll that comes with abandoning such pets.. it's unbearable!
Does strider mother or mazzranache have extra stats or same as a normal tallstrider?
Feel like my boy Death Flayer could've made the list. Not the most unique scorpid skin but he has better stats (1.6s attack speed down from 2s) and he is a rare in Durotar. Has done me proud so far haha
Yeah I was mainly covering unique looks here. I just had to throw in some like BT otherwise the comments would have been flooded. Hold onto Death Flayer for TBC! He'll be very useful then.

Hi, yesterday I saw a low level Orc lvl 19 on my Turtle wow Classic server with a chimaera that can breathe lightning. Where can I find the pet?

Theres 2 white versions of Humar, those are my favorite skins! Albino lion!
One low level in the barrens north of Humar and another high level as a rare spawn from a horde only quest in Winterspring
But I probably like the white lion cause I play Alliance and hes really rare to see on alliance side. But I see tons of low level hordies with him jaja

The only rare pets Ive been interested in were ones with special abilities, like the ones that started in WOTLK. Like Loque'nahak.
But Spiteflayer is the only bird with attack faster than 2.0, he is more unique than Lupos 4 sure. And carrion birds are pretty underrated, so it would`ve been nice.. Well and I`ve got one tamed, so wanted him to get his second of fame.
Don't worry, I really like Spiteflayer. I mention him in my pets for leveling video that'll come out in about a week. He is really good, especially for BM, he just doesn't look special.

The only saving grace of abandoning all those rare pets is that you didn't level them to 60 first.
I'm currently using a ZG Bat and Humar. Was thinking about filling my last slot with a Son of Hakkar but I might have to go put a level 60 Ghost Saber in there instead.
So true. It really, really sucks having to dump a pet youve already leveled to 60.

He doesn't do that in classic, otherwise I would have. He was really cool in vanilla and I wish he hadn't been nerfed.

What about the rare croc in sw? Not a special skin? I thought it was albino and unique?
He's super cool, but yeah skin isn't unique. There are white crocs in wailing caverns and maybe some other places I can't remember.
I used to pet Bjarn for Dwarfs ... and was thinking about King Bangalash for Night Elves. I dont play wow anyhow...

There's Uhk'loc, a white rare gorilla and U'cha, a unique brown gorilla (you have to kill for his pelt)

got humar on a few hunter of mine. although the worst is when i tamed him on my booosted hunter. after an hour to tame humar and another 15 to level him up becareful and def tame him at a low level

Maybe it's because I play horde a lot, but I don't really think of the white lion as unique. Every lvl20~ horde hunter runs around with him for a while because of Echeyakee.

@@Bigbobbedboi Uhk'loc is a fun tame sub-60, because of the best trap only holding him 15 secs/tame lasting 20. That and his almost guaranteed knockback if he hits you.
Nah best pet of all time in classic is the purple tiger in wintersrping, also extremely hard to get

You keep telling me about these rares that I don't remember. Only to abandon them later on. >_> Disgusting retail doesn't have that stable problem.
Retail doesn't need any stable slots because all pets are the same though.
