Great stuff man, been enjoying watching your progression, especially in the solo area. Seems like your picking it up fast man gg.
One old tip for ya open your combat log i norm overlay it onto the probe window an remember to toggle it on. Most of the time if you don't get one shot you can see the gun type that is shooting at you. The best way to know is study the gun types an how they look an do the look at ship, or just take a gamble on one or the other sometimes pays off.
Tactically speaking, I love ships like the Purifier (and similar bombers). It takes a long time to set up a good kill but if you hit them with a nice bomb and follow up with torpedo's you'll do massive damage. Especially if you manage to land your bombs on a nice frigate fleet camping the gate.
Unfortunately most fights do not allow such strategic planning and so a better all purpose pvp ship is the Cynabal.

The Astero, the amount of killing I've done in those totally dwarfs the bigger ships. If they ever nerf it I'll bounce a flaming tyre through the front window of whoever I deem to be responsible.
Astero is a great ship, I'm just not patient enough to fly one lol

Yeah 40mil per lesson can get quite pricey, another reason why the current scarcity wasn't a good idea in it's form.
The affects of scarcity aren't exactly to blame for that price tag, at least its most recent iteration. That hefty 40mil pricetag is due to the insane cost of T2 modules, I think due to morphite costs?
undocked a stabber. got at least 1 kill. respect earned. not because it's super duper more harder than other ships. but because it 100% of the time means you did it true yolo.
I’m sure that recording and watching footage later helps a lot. I don’t have a setup for that, but even taking some screenshots in the heat of battle has helped me figuring out what went right or wrong. IGN Fuzzy Rockets
My favorite PVP ship is the Ishkur, you can take on just about anything with it and win but my kill board would suggest that it is the Gnosis. lol With the slot layout and the bonuses it's a decent ship at everything but a master of none other than catching ships on a gate with the high scan res you can get out of it. hahaha good stuff......was gas mining a worm hole the other day from a high sec connection just cleared the gas site out of sleepers / drifters and grabbed my venture / Dyson gas hover, when a fly catcher landed on grid a tech II interdictor with me lucky i was too fast and was paying attention, what sort of ship would be best to take him on with......its small ship class and i know destroyers can be the best things to kill frigates, due too having the small size weapon class and alot of high slots.....
In the magus fight why did you not overheat your rep. In that fight you didn’t even have it on

Ya but it’s all a learning process I fly a magus with a lot of mobility and tank I fly dual rep and damage control with a multi-spectrum energized with only 1 damage mod I only have 250dps
Love the eyno to I fly Polarized with 500dps and just facemelt most frigates and even killed a Hecate once
Don't do much PvP myself, but astero is a great explorer frigs hunter... try to avoid getting blapped cause not that good in earning back the ISK to start PvP in 1st place... tristan is also a good long point mwd small cheapy fun to fly and easier to disengage if needed frig... IGN: "Bia Virpio"

makes sense, usually flying a ship that is very similar to your ratting ship is best. you should give PvP a try sometime!
