Buses at Whitehaven Leyland National 52 event, celebrating the 52 years since Leyland National buses first took to the streets of Whitehaven in April 1972. But it's not just Leyland Nationals at the Event, we also see buses from Volvo, Mercedes, Scania & Bristol as well as other Leyland buses.
Leyland Nationals were built in a factory at Lillyhall near Workington. Over 7700 Leyland Nationals were built between 1972 and 1985.
