As someone who dealt with a psychologically and abusive girlfriend for 8 years, I get Will. Its not that he does not want to free himself. He is simply psychologically shackled to his abuser as most abused victims are. You tend to praise the person who make you miserable. You even blame yourself for the abuse, thinking that you did kinda deserved it. Leaving is also not easy. It induces a lot of anxiety. It is as if you are worried that they are gonna do some shit and it will be your fault again. My ex did not have to do a lot to accomplish this. She could simply be on the other line of that phone sniffing to hold her tears and not saying a word to me. It would drive me crazy and break me psychologically. It would get to be so bad, Id relent and repeat the cycle again. See your abusers do not always start out as psychopathic monsters. They are people who begin to care about you, then later have control of you. I speak about it now, because that was my biggest mistake. I wish I was not a coward and talked about it so I got the support I needed to leave her. The problem is, when it is a man that is at the receiving end of the abuse, we tend to not take them seriously. We use their predicament as if it were a punchline. There is no so such thing as an abused man. If he is, then he is not a real man. Right? Men are also human beings. Remember that.
I mean, I read Will Smith’s book last year or whenever it came out. My interpretation of it is that his first marriage imploded so quickly, and he felt so bad about that, that he must have decided to keep his second marriage going. No matter what!

I routinely kept falling into abusive one way relationships with people until I learned this, it's one of the most important and difficult things i've ever had to learn in my life.

Like, there are crappy people or people who got into the wrong situation, or where their lives didn't go exactly how they want and they're frustrated and are trying to change it. Thank you for focusing on the cheating not just and Will Smith being the main person affected in that situation. August was a highly vulnerable young man trying to get stable and Jada was very predatory in one of the worst ways I can think of. If he was struggling with substance abuse disorder the worst thing to do is jump into a new relationship. I went to treatment for my ptsd and the facility did mental health, dual diagnosis, and substance abuse disorder treatments. The people I met that against the rules started relationships during treatment died when they got out. I am not exaggerating. It was heartbreaking to see them pass away one by one. One guy there checked in because his girlfriend died and he seemed there to date. His new girlfriend relapsed immediately after treatment and lost everything including her career. I don’t I if she is still alive and I am afraid to look.
Will doesn't believe in divorce. He says he would never ever do it and the only he got divorced before was because his ex filed for it. Sooooo now he has just turned into... well... this.
It's got to make people go crazy. Imagine being will Smith, you can't go out to regular places in public, paparazzi, crazy fans etc. So if that makes a normal person crazy what does it do to a person that's already a little crazy.
Chris Rock has denied calling her and has said for her to keep his name out of her damn mouth. The funny thing is Chris was friends with both of them for 20 years, and Will destroyed that friendship and his career with a slap for a woman who doesn't give 2 shits about him.
That bald thing is sorta relatable. Not the slapping, but my dad has leukemia and is undergoing the treatment currently. He's doing wonderfully with it, but he did lose most of his hair. He initially looked sorta like a baby orangutan and he then got it shaved. When he got it shaved, I could not resist the urge to feel what that bald head felt like, fir the record, it was sorta like a warm kiwi fruit

Because he is the son of Will Smith and Sheree Zampino who got divorced in 1995. Obviously he doesn't want anybody to know that. So when his wife does what she does she is actually just damaging the very core of the illusion Will tried to sell the public for the better part of two decades.
