      +Lionel Atkinson I did. I had most of Teddy's early beat tapes that he used to make for crews to use for performance at jams. Teddy did a lot for M.C.'s back then but never wanted to be known to the general public at that time.

      @@darlenenewell2643 Actually NY had a really bad gang problem in the 1970s, otherwise Warriors wouldn't even make sense as a fictionalised account of that.
      The gangs turned into breakdancing gangs, but that was only in NY and it wasn't like parties did not get turned out now and then or people got jacked for their sheepskin bombers and chains, stop talking shit, I was there too.

    I remember this song when my boys and I try to learn the dance before going to union square in NYC (with Fake ID's for the chinaman). One of my boys got his chain taken that night! Then came home and tried to master the dance at about 5am in the mornin. SWEET! This is when I had no bills this music should be therapy for all old heads.

    I don't know where you're from, but in Cleveland, this jam was on heavy rotation on the radio and every damn where. It kept the dance floors packed all the time, no joke.

    Was in a club called Bentley’s in Manhattan around 1987 and saw this dude who looked old enough to have been clubbing in the 50s. He had on a baby blue suit and he Wopped down to the ground! Impressive. I was amazed. 😂😂😂

    Had been looking for this unsuccessfully until today. could hear the beat and wop wop wop it in my head. just couldn't remember the song title. I remember old school songs from their beats.
