#3: What a spinning ride it was, this reading! The thing is when the 'master manipulator and controller' comes across a soulmate energy who offers 'unconditional love', they just can't wrap their head around it and try to find flaws or motive, but what all they come out with is the 'glimpse of their own shadow side', which then triggers their unhealed wounds. There is no way out of this conundrum for them until they've worked on their own healing.

Pile 3. Yes, it resonated. I got sometimes a feeling from him he wouldn't fully trust me, like too good to be true. As if he was asking himself Why would someone I barely know be so nice, kind and understanding of me? And why do I feel the same way towards her? He actually told me about the second question, as in he couldn't make sense of it rationally. I didn't mention to him if he had ever considered the possibility of past lives and soul mates as I was afraid he would even further freak out so I answered: "You are trying to understand with your mind something you can only understand with your heart" I didn't mention intuition, anyway his heart chakra is/was blocked. I gave him a rose quartz for his birthday telling him it was a stone I used during meditation , he said he considered that to be a magical stone. He hasn't any knowledge of spiritual practices but was interested in listening to me about what I do.

P2 I met him at work and he’s my boss. He was one of those bosses that don’t take any bs and intimidated everyone including me. I started to notice how much gentler he was with me compared to everyone else and he even told me he loved me a few times. I had my reasons to be skeptical so I guess that made him step back a bit. I completely agree with the other person in the comments here who was saying that it's the person this reading is talking about being unable to comprehend unconditional love because they've never experienced it before. It's been a wild ride and it still is. I've been calm, collected and caring, but the smallest and most benign (to me) things can trigger this person into running, and if there's nowhere for me to stand, then how can I be consistent and show that I'm not going anywhere? I have Venus in Revati on its point of exaltation. My Pluto is in my 8th house conjunct his Mars and trine my Venus. He seems to think I want power over him. I’m Aries sun (Ashwini) and moon (Bahrani) so I’m nobody’s fool, but he imagines a lot of controlling energy that’s based on his past. He seems to marvel at my strong Venus energy, both in relation to him and in my work. He doesn’t entirely believe it, as if he’s never seen someone who’s truly devoted to helping others and to a spiritual path.

I felt I needed to find myself so, I went back to work in the field I'm educated in and met my twin flame this past summer 2020. The issue is I'm married. Pile #2. When you spoke of cold empathy, that's a term, I believe coined by Sam Vaknin. It's what narcissists and psychopaths (or animals who stalk their pray) among other people who may be autistic or something, like to use to gauge a person's affective emotional state, because most likely, they do not have access to emotions in themselves in that way. In other words, people who use cold empathy are using their brains to ascertain another's emotions because they do not feel, or can't access those emotions in themselves.
This is too black and white for my liking. I firmly believe we’ve gotta start having more nuanced conversations as a species. Cold empathy is a slang term for cognitive empathy. It’s a tool. And tools can be used for good or bad. They can be used well or used poorly. For instance, many helping professionals are trained in cold empathy aka cognitive empathy that way they can help while maintaining emotional sovereignty. Cognitive empathy, especially when the other forms of empathy are not developed, can absolutely be used to manipulate as well but it’s definitely not a causal relationship as you suggested - that if you see cold empathy you’re looking at a manipulator or a narcissist. And people who use cognitive empathy do not need to be autistic. Definitely not. In fact, most people reading this post have decent cognitive empathy and can and do use it to help themselves and those they care about. In fact, people who are very high in emotional empathy can benefit from developing cognitive empathy as a moat around their emotional empathy because emotional empathy is not always helpful or appropriate. High cognitive empathy alongside high emotional empathy could very well be the defining distinction between a regular and super empath. Allowing the super empath to be less reactive and more responsive and to have greater self sovereignty overall.

I didn't even mention cognitive therapy at all, just cold empathy. It is a term coined by a very experienced psychologist who has dealt with narcissists and narcissistic abuse. Take up your argument with him, his name is Sam Vaknin. It's his term and his work which has even made it possible for that type of recovery being made for narcissists, as small as it may be. Other professionals have been trained in cold empathy because of the work that Mr Vaknin did. He's the one who invented it. It is definitely not a slang term. It is a tool used by Mr Vaknin in his practice and has now taught it to others to help narcissists deal with life. I am simply a messenger. Take up your view of this term with him, since he is the one who invented it. He is on CZcams, he's very easy to find and has a plethora of extremely informative videos. He is the foremost expert on narcissism. He does use certain terms that he borrowed from other psychologists (not on CZcams), and gave them a new branding but most of the terms he uses he coined himself in order to have a language to describe the phenomena of narcissism which was nearly unknown 25 yrs ago when he first wanted to know about his own narcissism. But, he did invent cold empathy, both, the term and the technique.
