Awesome Im glad as well I came across your post before I spent unnecessary money trying to create something thats meant to help me save! haha love that you're a Kiwi too it was the $5NZD that made me stop on your channel lol
Wow! What a great tip! I have been looking all over for small, plastic envelopes like your since I saw the video about your planner. I'll be making these tomorrow!
Thank you for this great tip! I'm going to start the cash only method this week. After watching your videos I have noticed how much I swipe my savings card and not think about how much I have spent. Reality check is about to happen 😊
I was researching which binder planner to buy and how to implement a cash envelope system in it. These last few months I've found i over spend by about $150 If i don't use cash for groceries. I am deep in research mode so I'm trying to rush through a bit. I played your video at 1.5 speed because you have a nice soft, relaxed way of talking. It's very hard to listen at that speed when you tubers use back ground music (it gets all distorted). So, I wanted to say I love this content, your speed, and lack of music. Well done!
Thanks Marie! To be honest I am just not that great at editing etc so I don't now how to add music but I am glad you enjoyed my video. Good luck setting up your cash system we used to overspend a lot on food and using cash has definitely helped keep us on track :)
You make it look so easy but my hands are just not made for crafts lol I LOVE doing diy stuff but the amount of time where I had cut or sized things incorrectly Is so frustrating but I don’t really want to spend too much money on Etsy for cute ones when I can just customize my own. I’m definitely going to watch this a few times to get it down and I’ll start working on it lol
Question, What are you doing after with the rest of your L sharped plastic pockets? It is a creative and great idea but I'm afraid the rest isn't useful so you throw it away ?
Thanks! I have a small zip coin purse that I keep in my bag for coins. I keep the past months record in an envelope in my desk. I only ever keep the past 6 months records then I get rid of them.
Thanks for the video! The other two videos on this playlist are listed as private - just wondering, is that intentional or are they supposed to be part of the planner series? Also, I might be missing something, but if you start with a large plastic sleeve that is sealed on three sides, couldn't you get two little pockets per large sleeve?
Hi Jo, one of the videos was set to private by mistake, I've changed it now and the other one is a planner unboxing video scheduled to upload today and yes I think you are right about being able to get two pockets from each sleeve - my sleep deprived mom brain didn't realise that! 😅😬😊
Ah, thanks - just checked out the new planner video! And I totally get the sleep deprivation. My oldest (now 2) didn't sleep through the night until he was 15 months, and now we have a nearly six-week old! In fact, pretty much the only time I have to watch you tube videos is when he's nursing through the night :)
Hi Christina, I bought the plastic sheets from a store here in NZ called The Warehouse. Here's a link to a similar product on Amazon www.amazon.com/Warmter-Document-Folder-Project-Pockets/dp/B06XPKNQZ6/ref=sr_1_8_sspa?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1519460330&sr=1-8-spons&keywords=L+shape+document+sheets+clear&psc=1
Hi, The colour I have isn't available anymore but there are still lots of colours available. Mine is the personal size. Here is the link to their website : www.kikki-k.com/diaries-calendars/planners/personal-planners
So basically this will only work for a personal size planner.. I wonder that you don't make a flap at the top to fold over/score and add a closure so the cash doesn't fall out? I wouldn't mind using my old planners just for cash envelops but I would much prefer to open them on the longer side for easier access. tfs
That’s seriously the best pocket compared to all the other ones I’ve seen. Love a bit of kiwi ingenuity💕
😮😮😮😮❤❤❤❤❤Genius😊😊😊😊😊😊

This is actually so smart🤓
this is awesome, I love the idea! how do u differentiate between each envelope?
That’s really helpful . What size is your planner . Looks so cute
You make it look so easy but my hands are just not made for crafts lol I LOVE doing diy stuff but the amount of time where I had cut or sized things incorrectly Is so frustrating but I don’t really want to spend too much money on Etsy for cute ones when I can just customize my own. so basically you can only get one envelope out of one plastic sheet? or can u get two?
Question,
What are you doing after with the rest of your L sharped plastic pockets?
It is a creative and great idea but I'm afraid the rest isn't useful so you throw it away ?
great tip! what do you do with coins? also what do you do with past months' record?
Thanks! I have a small zip coin purse that I keep in my bag for coins. I keep the past months record in an envelope in my desk. I only ever keep the past 6 months records then I get rid of them.
Thank you! So easy and inexpensive.

What do you do with coins/change from your notes? Thank you for sharing this idea :)
I have a little coin purse that just stays in my bag :)
Where did you get plastic sheets?
Hi Christina, I bought the plastic sheets from a store here in NZ called The Warehouse. Great idea!! Btw where did you get those cash envelopes? Did you make them?
Thanks! Yes I made the cash envelopes out of larger page protectors. 😊
Do you know if your particular kiki is still available?
Hi, The colour I have isn't available anymore but there are still lots of colours available. Mine is the personal size. Here is the link to their website : www.kikki-k.com/diaries-calendars/planners/personal-planners
You can slip some scrapbook paper to make it decorative
That’s a great idea 💡
I can’t find the pocket sheets??
You still do this stuffs today?
So basically this will only work for a personal size planner.. I wonder that you don't make a flap at the top to fold over/score and add a closure so the cash doesn't fall out? I wouldn't mind using my old planners just for cash envelops but I would much prefer to open them on the longer side for easier access. tfs
ahhh they are already sealed
kinda unrelated, but how pretty is that money?!
I know! I love our money here in NZ 😊
I have cash envelopes for sale a5 and a6
