she risked $130k to win $120k. she should have taken the deal. the show is based on not knowing what is in the cases. anyone thinking they "know" what is in them is a fool.
Seldom are people logical in these shows. They don't think about the odds based on the number of cases as apposed to the amounts on the board. To them, it's all just picking the right one. I'm in the UK, we don't get the US channels so I've been watching this show on Pluto TV USA using a VPN. Woww! A whole channel to this show. Every addictive! I would have taken the money $880 or would have switched. + TAX FREE on winnings in the UK.
This show shows you how GAMBLING is so addicting. What same board Howie? IT IS NEVER THE SAME BOARD! YOU HAD 3 MILLION AND 6 MILLION! GONE! Why does it matter? When you replace two small amounts with big ones, you hit a problem called probability. The low amounts happen to sandbag the crash should you open a million as the offer does not crash as much. With those gone? Not only is it HARDER to drive the offer up even if you open a low amount, the offer also crashes TWICE as bad when you open the big ones. They always say "You have a chance". Like at the start of this episode. You don't. There are FOUR small amounts and just two big amounts. It is like saying that you can defeat a minion since you will be given two axes. Does not work. What can you do? PUT YOUR BLINDERS ON! DO NOT FOCUS ON THE TWO BIG PRIZES, FOCUS ON THE OTHER FOUR! close your eyes. Think that. Then press the button! Deal.
It sounds stupid to gamble 130,000 $ on 50/50 chance, but it was worth taking a risk at that point. She came with nothing and still got 750,000$, so win win situation.
Imagine if she chose case number 18 as her briefcase from the previous episode before this and then went all the way to say no deal to all offers, then she would have won the 6 million.
As a psychologist, I am 99.9% certain Michele's husband and her blonde cousin are having an affair behind her back. You can clearly see it in the way her blonde cousin caressed his face and shoulder, while he tried to hide/suppress her actions. And also the way Michele's husband kisses her, in a formal way as if its scripted, not to make her blonde cousin too jelous bc he loves her more in the bedroom, however he also wants to keep his brunette wife happy on the side bc her blonde cousin finds him more attractive, while knowing she has him conquered/wrapped around her finger! As for him, it's a win win bc he gets to have his BRUNETTE wife and her BLONDE cousin on the side, UNTIL THE TRUTH COMES OUT, just like it always does in DUE TIME bc everything done in the dark, WILL COME OUT INTO THE LIGHT if it's not dealt with ASAP! It's really sad that her blonde cousin would do that to her, which I sensed from the moment she quickly/passively introduced herself as her cousin. She also tried to mirror her husband's emotions/actions to feel emotionally connected with him behind her back, which women need/crave emotional connection with a guy she's physically into.
To have 750k and 1M as your options that's a win win regardless. Sure over 800k would be fine and taking it would make sense, but it makes saying no deal that much easier. And because why not, you're 750k richer regardless, that's better than pretty much anyone who plays
The briefcase switch option in the end reminds me of a probability puzzle. It's always good to switch the suitcase in the end. You picking up the 1million suitcase had like 1/26 probability. But at the end, when you do the switch, it's 25/26. Always switch. Edit - Found out its Monty hall problem.

It's amazing how the gov takes zero risk and still gets 37%. What a racket. It's even worse on shows with prizes and most end up having to sell stuff off to pay the taxes.
She wanted to do a million for the sake of history for the show she already had a ton of money guaranteed
@@connermoran8516 - For the sake of history? Are you serious? If she were already rich, then maybe, but there's no way she was even caring about "history" of a game show. Especially one that requires zero skill. Sorry, I don't believe that for a second.
@@scottmcman7659 she already had 750k guaranteed why wouldnt she just do it
I'd took that 880,000
Ofc you would. Cause your briefcase only amounts to 750k lol
Ofc you would. Cause your briefcase only amounts to 750k lol
I tooked it it
@@johnfilipsalvador9747 no because i would had more to lose than to gain, it's like they took 130k and betting them for the chance to win 250k, nonsense
I wouldn’t cuz you never know if you have that 1 million in that case. Also 750000 is a lot of money. Losing out that extra 130000 isn’t a big deal to me.
This is by far my favorite game show I wish they would bring it back!!!!
It’s been back!!! 👍🏻🙂 www.nbc.com/deal-or-no-deal
Same.
In terms of NBC game shows, same here.
the revived it for one season in 2019 but it got cancelled again
She should have swapped cases at the end so instead of saying 8 is great she should have thought twenty has plenty.
that's a false thought, this isn't the whole Monty situation where switching is better it's better THERE because he's the one that reveals stuff so he might know some things where they could technically get away with influencing it since it was a different time and the regulations weren't as strict, here the ones picking and opening cases have no inside knowledge, all they know is the same we know, 1 holds a penny, 1 holds a million and in this case heh pun intended ones were holding 3 million and 6 million but none of those people that were on set or actually in the production control room, not a single soul among those will have any clue where the amounts are.
"Let's keep your lucky streak going" what luck? He opened big numbers early on 1,000,000, 750,000, 500,000 and 400,000. I feel so sorry for this man but at least he didnt walk away with a penny like that one moron did. Aw poor banker. Surprised he didnt stop Michelle's game for the day like he did when thorpe played.
*coughs* Heather.
That was funny
No I'm not clueless I graduated top of my class buddy
He did stop her game. She came back.
I really wish the top prize continued until $8 million
Gambling is a risk, therefore the higher the risk, the higher the return.
The only way to win gambling is to play as little as possible. The odds are always against you.
@Lord Hugenstein
Tbh card games and betting is more complicated and can let you win overall, true, but I've still never seen anyone actually get rich from it.
No, the biggest win in history was in 2019 for part of "Los Lobos" in Spain in the Boom Show televisión 4.130.000€ + every day they present It(+500 days) total = 6.689.700€
Awesome episode it's nice to watch this show and get so invested in who wins
I remember watching this and I was on the edge of my seat. I personally would have taken the 880,000 cause that would of been 130,000 more than what she had but she risked it all and it paid off. I'm sure it was a hefty amount after taxes.
*would’ve
You're forgetting one important thing: She didn't know what was in her case. It's easy to say, "Oh, I would have taken the highest offer," when you already know what's in the case, lol.
I am just watching the replay and it is stressing me out so much !! xD
If only she had just switched the last 2 cases at the end there, she would have been the first million dollar winner on this show!
I know! But $750,000 is not a bad pay day at all! 💚
Renee Thornton She’s one of the bravest people I’ve ever seen! She rejected HUGE bank offers!
If only she had taken the last offer
@@iim1914 or just be happy that she made 750K which is a LOT of money
If she was smart enough...u always switch when u had 3 options and one of them was bad, cause that gives u more chances.
Aired date: September 22nd, 2006.
I really love this show
Her husband should have played the game ..
He is lucky asfk
Best show on TV in its heyday.
That first girl is the energizer bunny
Risked $130K to win $120K.
Lmao its not $130k its %120k
@@Silenceispeace___ HAL 9000 is right.... she risked $130K (a guaranteed $880K at that point vs $750K minimum) for a chance for another $120K ($1 million vs guaranteed $880K)
i would’ve gone all the way at that point too. she’s still guaranteed $750k
Kinakabahan din ako ngayon habang nanunuod nito jusq HAHAHAHAHA
I would have kept my case as well! Great decision either way!!! 👍🏾👍🏾
The reaction is priceless! From🇵🇭
This show makes,me,cry,i,love,it
Banker in first game laughing at the contestant, after his final offer got rejected 😂
I need this show to come back. I wanna sign up
I keep thinking of how much tax is taken. I’m Canada it’s all tax free. Miss this show!
WOW, she said no deal to $880,000 like it was just pocket change! Most people will never see that kind of money!
But can you blame her with $750K being the worst-case scenario? I would've said no, too.
I mean, in reality she said no to 130k extra since she already had 750k. Gambling that amount for a chance to get 1M was definitely worth it.
Her expected value was $875,000 and she got an offer over that. To not take that is absolutely foolish. This is very simple math.
@@23THoffi disagree, it’s not like she’ll ever have another 50/50 shot of being a millionaire? she may have had $130,000 to lose, but gambling that amount is worth it when the least you can leave with is $750,000
money went to their heads
just take the 880k
Bro balsy chick dude. I woulda taken the $500,000. Haha
Statistics would argue the converse. Of course she didn’t know that though.
Statsistics tells you always switch the case
She fight for her luck 'til the end! And good for her she never take it.
So who's won the most on a regular board (no extra million cases or other gimmicks)?
Well, biggest win in non-million dollar mission history
I still consider her the biggest winner. The two that won the million, did so with the help of multiple million dollar cases.
Her game was a true game. As Howie describes it: 26 cases with TWENTY-SIX DIFFERENT INCREMENTS of money.
@@ngarcia103 She still played with multiple millions still giving her more chance so it wasn't a true game.
Yea.. she had more than one million case too..
@@ngarcia103 Agreed.
@@JohnnyRamirez86 both millionaire winners had multiple millions too. it’s basically almosr impossible without it. because then the only way to win a million is to say no deal to every single offer.
Gotta love it when a negative spouse (in this case hubby) is proved wrong
Her husband practically played the game. Choosing the last 3 most important cases.
Same thing with Tomorrow Rodriguez, whose daughter pretty much played her game for her.
@@eugenejones4641 yup, nothing says supporters can't help though, it's all down to what the contestant wants so if they want to listen to them then they can but no matter what happens, the contestant still has to make those choices.
She reminds me of Spring Thomas ;)
I'm in the UK, we don't get the US channels so I've been watching this show on Pluto TV USA using a VPN.
Woww! A whole channel to this show. Every addictive!
I would have taken the money $880 or would have switched. + TAX FREE on winnings in the UK.
I watch Pluto TV 24/7 an I live in the u.s.a but it's not on t.v yet love deal or no deal 💕💕💕🌷🌷🙏😊😊🕊🕊🦅
She had guts and went for the gusto!! But to turn do $880,000k was not smart. You lose either $120K or $130K. I’d rather lose $120! Buy great episode!
I love this show so much
(20:37) YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Her husband should of played this game
You are right, he was super good!
20:37 her reaction lol
Deal.
Eight is great, but twenty was money 💰
If I love this show one more time! Best game show ever!
I like the deal or no deal DVD game you can play on your TV with your remote control
where can you get that?

She got caught up in the moment the offer was 130,000 over the 750 I remember watching this the first time it aired the absolute play was take the 880
wow michelle looks like natalia dyer
20:35 When she was smiling, I knew it was GG for the Banker…
It sounds stupid to gamble 130,000 $ on 50/50 chance, but it was worth taking a risk at that point.
She came with nothing and still got 750,000$, so win win situation.
Actually no. She could have went to Vegas and got better odds.

Oh, yeah, right. Except for the day she got married.

Girl your brave asf
She deserves so much much much more
Want this show to come back.
To have 750k and 1M as your options that's a win win regardless. Sure over 800k would be fine and taking it would make sense, but it makes saying no deal that much easier. And because why not, you're 750k richer regardless, that's better than pretty much anyone who plays
Exactly.
The banker offering 880k doesn’t even make sense, because that’s greater than the expected value of the two cases.
Should have taken the 880
8 is great, but 20 is plenty
Wow. No Lose. 😍😍😍
Guaranteed 750,000
The briefcase switch option in the end reminds me of a probability puzzle. It's always good to switch the suitcase in the end.
You picking up the 1million suitcase had like 1/26 probability. But at the end, when you do the switch, it's 25/26. Always switch.
Edit - Found out its Monty hall problem.
