RIP Jonathan Larson (February 4, 1960 - January 25, 1996), aged 35
You will always be remembered as a legend.
Angel at the end ALWAYS gets me 😭 no matter how many times i’ve seen this movie or the live show
This was already an incredible musical, however having watched Tick Tick Boom and learning of the tragic loss of Jonathan Larson...his message rings even louder.
Thank you Johnathan Larson
The first time I saw this (3x in theaters) as I am now 30 years old, “forget regret or life is yours to miss” is still one of the mottos I live my life by. This scene always gives me goosebumps
I’m in my thirties as well. We should be new friends. This ending is more powerful every time you watch it. Nothing on earth like art to remind us every second we have has to be remembered, good or bad, as a miracle. I had an absolutely dreadful breakup with my high school sweetheart but this movie being her favorite movie was what’s left of it forever even though my favorite musical is Sweeney Todd. I’m sure your sweet dog in the profile pic isn’t named Akita. 🙃
Greatest musical ever and for that we thank you Jonathan Larson rest in heaven 🕊 🙏🏽
Collins breaking down into Mimi's lap and her hugging him back though. Knowing that Angel brought her back to life as the light carrying spirit that she was was so beautiful. ❤❤
Thank you Jonathan Larson
...and this is what lice and friendship is all about. No need to be rich, but rich with good caring people...❤❤❤❤
Why this movie gotta play with my feelings like that
This entire ending gets me every single time and Angel Sigh,…….😭😭😭The entire cast but Angel just,….. yeah. Love her😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️LOVE the whole cast 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ive seen this film a lot of times i loved it espically this finale here.

I’m not crying you’re crying
I love this song
And with that.....I give a standing ovation.......No Day But Today
This is one of my favorite part of rent and a great song too 😊 ❤️
Great musical
Love it
The ending is just beautiful.for me, especially growing old throughout the years and how many friends I have lost because of the freaking grim reaper and time and all its loss....I hate it. Love the musical, sometimes hate being an empath. Love the musical.
Indeed I will die without my loveones... :(
My mom asked me why I’m crying
Me no reason
Her hears the song:YOUR WATCHING RENT
me:yeahhhhhhh😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Her I said not to watch it without me!
Me:really
No matter how many times I watch this, it always gets me choking up 😭😭

Shoot... don't give up on praying, folks. A LOT of us were paying for his recovery. Sometimes when we ask the Lord to wear someone's suffering the answer is to pull their Soul back to Heaven. RIP, Scotty, never forgotten. D34 MSC legend. 💪🏻✝️🙏🏽
That's a happy ending. 😁
GM fam. Are you thankful? We should be, each and every one of us. Why? Because most of us think our alarm clock or radio got us up today. If you want to test this, go to the basement of a funeral home and set off as many alarms as you can and see who wakes up.
It wasn't our clocks that woke us up, it was God.
This is his universe even though our bodies are our own...a gift from Him. He's the big cheese, the head honcho, the flipper of cosmic switches, and the Creator of all.
Life can feel repetitious at times and we start to take for granted something momentous like waking up.
But if we sit and think about it many people around the world today didn't get up because they were taken Home last night in their sleep. Young or old, sick or healthy, none of us know when He wants us to come Home.
I've heard it said if you have a baditude, then flip it around into a gratitude.
Yes we are the ones that did the work, and got the promotion, got the degree, got the honor of becoming a professional pilot, wrote that book and saw it published, got the degree and became a nurse or business person, but someone else out there put just as much into the endeavor and didn't get to live it out.
Pretty much everyone is familiar with the famous Broadway play Rent.
Jonathan Larson, the creative genius behind Rent, spent the better part of 10 years working on that and perfecting it; it was a modern version of the classic Play La Boheme about a group of artists struggling to make it. Talk about life imitating art... the night the play was to open on Broadway Jonathan got sick and went to the hospital. The doctor misdiagnosed what was going on and told him to take aspirin and go home. The illness Jonathan had aspirin was the absolute WORST thing to have given him.
He got sicker during the night and went back to the hospital where he passed away on the night of his play opening.
One of the most epic songs from that play has stuck with me since I saw Rent and it's called "No Day But Today."
Live today with GRATITUDE.

I love how Benny was still included in the film. He made his choices, but he was still very much a part of their group and hearts.
I also love how this movie made a change to his parts; he was last scene bidding farewell to his friends, but then before Christmas, he informs Mark and Roger that mimi has been missing, showing that he still cares. And during the song "without you", Roger was at first upset over how mimi used to date benny, but still cared for her, in spite of the rocky relationship. The two eventually broke up after roger angrily confronted mimi over spending most of her money on drugs. That brief scene came to show that the huge fight never got benny involved. And when mimi had returned to work, benny was there to comfort her
