- I get it your kid is growing and you want to know if you should get a toddler bed.
Here is my advice on if you should buy the IKEA SUNDVIK TODDLER BED.
Super simple to set up.
It is low to the ground and great for your growing kid to feel independent.
THE BEST part is that it grows. WORST PART is that you may have to spend a little more on a special IKEA mattress.
Overall: For $169 I con't really complain.

Glad I could help!
thank you for the explanation. 😍😍😍😍😍. I'll buy it for sure
+Nesma narimene awesome glad you liked it.
Bought this bed because of you 👍👍👍👍
Hope you enjoy it!
Trying to confirm what size mattress fits in this bed when it's at its shortest length...will a standard US size crib mattress fit it? And just to double check, will a standard twin size mattress fit when it's extended all the way out? Thanks!
+Brittaney Newman sorry for not answering this sooner. A standard crib mattress doesn’t fit but a standard twin does.
I was looking for the same info - what a shame 're not fitting cot bed mattress but thanks for video and info!! 😁
@@vanessadorney check out the plutten mattress. It’s extendable and fits perfectly 🙂
I'm confronted by sheet for this bed. Are they toddler size or are they twin size? Would a toddler/crib sheet fit on it? Is it one of those deals where you can only purchase the sheets for it at IKEA? Thank you
+Andressa Becerra you can most definitely use a regular mattress when it’s fully extended and when it’s at the shortest length. You might have to tuck it but my wife and I did that and we loved it.
+Andressa Becerra super sorry this is such a late response. So when we had it at its shortest length technically you can only find a fitted sheet it's size at the shortest at Ikea BUT we just used a regular sheet and just stuffed the excess underneath.
Where can I get replacement parts we moved and lost the parts can you please help me out thank you
I would search IKEA's website.
Does the shortest size use only one of the extendable mattress pieces or 2?
Sorry this is late but the extendable matress has like a half size and then two 1/4 pieces. For the shortest section it is the half size one.
Hi, what is the height you need to climb to get into the bed? From ground level to mattress level.
Apologies for the delayed response. It was only like a 2 ft. Very doable for at the time 2 year old.
How far is it off the ground
Umm it’s far enough off the ground that could store shoe boxes but nothing bigger.
Is there a rail so my son won't roll over ?
No but they sell some sort of net i believe.
It has three sizes then ??? And what about the mattress??
+A Moms world yes it has three lengths. When the bed is fully extended you can add a regular twin size mattress.
+A Moms world super sorry this is a late response. It has multiple lengths. For the short size and medium sized you have to have a special matress you can only get from Ikea. But at the longest length you put a standard twin mattress in it.
