I tried book binding once. I love the idea of making my own journals, but making the covers is hard. I'll go back to it eventually. I also want to get back into crocheting, playing my digital piano and my clarinet, learn how to draw, and maybe learn how to knit.

I totally lost that part of myself when I had my first baby because I told myself I didn’t have time, but I’ve been really making an effort to MAKE time for the hobbies I really want to try and now I feel like I have the same problem as you - too many hobbies to try!! My current ones are running, yoga, painting, and reading, but I really want to try incorporate embroidery too!
Hi Rachel! I crochet and knit and I just learned how to cross stitch. It is so fun learning new hobbies and I also consider different Bible studies as hobbies too 😅 I feel like as an adult it is such a skill to learn new things, like as kids we’re used to learning new things all the time but then as adults some people never learn anything new and then when they do they don’t have that growth mindset about it if that makes sense. Anyways thanks for sharing your hobbies too ❤
The snow still shocks me every year even though I’ve lived in Canada my whole life where our winters can get pretty harsh! I love the big change in season but winter is for sure my least favourite season

Little women is my favourite book ever, everytime I come across a copy with different covers I have to buy it, but saying that I first read it was 10 and loved it ever since I do think if I was to read it now in my 30s for the first time, it wouldn't have the same affect on me like it did when I was 10 but I will always cherish it ❤️
I can relate on the level of zero snow. I love in south Texas and it RARELY snows and when it does everything shuts down because nobody can drive in it. The thought of driving in deep snow is CRAZY to me too 😂😂

Also gathering stuff for a future easy junk journal, and maybe the macrame stuff, too. I'll also go back to needlework to finish a project that I'd neglected for a while; include knitting a scarf. So there are plenty of craft work that I want to attempt in the near future. Even an easy crochet bag 😆.

a hack for sourdough starter is after you feed it the first few times, you can just leave it in the fridge. then when you want to use it, take it out and feed it the night before and then after you feed it, discard if you need to and then put it back in the fridge (sorry idk if any of that made sense)
I live in Tennessee and we only get a couple snows a year. And no one here can drive in it. But in snowier States they are more equipped for it. They have more plows, and salt the roads to keep them safer. Plus Snow tires, chains etc. They are also taught how to drive in the snow and have practice doing so. Whenever it snows here I stay home. Even if I knew how to drive in it, (I don't) I wouldn't trust all the other people sliding into the ditches.
I love my switch/ animal crossing. I can see what you mean about easily being able to spend ages playing on it but the first couple of weeks the gameplay is slow because you have to do a bunch of tasks to progress your island. I play as a way to regulate myself when I just need some mindless down time. There's lots of other cosy/low stakes games available too 😊
I am the opposite, i am quite predictable and i have the same hobbies/interests for 20 years! 🤣 (for example... I still have the same favourite bands that i had 20 years ago 😍) My obsessions last forever! and no one can sway my mindset. 💖

lol the weather chat, I always giggle when you girls say it's cold but you still wear shorts and just a lightweight jumper but I remind myself that for you guys that probably does feel cold to you. I'm in the UK and when we say it's cold we're wearing several layers of long clothes. I'm the same with hobbies, I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have at least one hobby!

Some places here do get into the negative temps. It really depends on the location. Where I am is so cold and windy and miserable and often gets to the low single digits in celsius. 🥶

For the sourdough get activated yeast and add that and use filtered water as the tap water kills the live enzymes in it
