- Once Doctor Who's remaining lost episodes are animated, what will the future hold for Doctor Who animations? The next logical step is to animate Big Finish audios. But which Dalek stories would be good candidates for the critical first animated audio release?

I like how one of the Genesis of the Daleks DVDs has an extra that includes animated extracts from 'I, Davros' (I think it's from part of a wider interview).
We need a Cyberman version of this channel right now.

I just listened to Jubilee a couple of days ago, and I absolutely agree that it needs to be animated, but I also that it’s a bit dark and too similar to ‘Dalek’, but still it would make a great watch. I’ve already started listening to Blood of the Daleks and so far it’s great, so far while listening to it i think Paul McGann is great, An animated version of that would also be really cool to see.
I think for me, I would want some of the audio exposition to be cut down for an animated release, regardless of what story is picked. In fan animations of Big Finish, it sticks out like a sore thumb that characters are describing things that the audience can't hear. Great video as always!
The sword of Orion would be a cool one to be animated
Personally I’d love to see The Mutant Phase be animated. It’s one of the best Dalek stories and a great 5th Doctor story.

The Dalek Chronicles has already been animated by Stuart Palmer of the now defunct Altered Vistas (He has done work for Loose Canon)
The obvious classic one that needs animating is Dalek Masterplan.
True, but its a 5 hour saga with a lot of setpieces and characters and locations, it'd take forever and require one hell of a budget to do properly.
I've done many of my own Dalek animations using Big Finish, my latest one was for the Victory of the Doctor boxset. If I had all the models, perhaps I would consider animating a while story, but as a 3D animator, that would be time consuming indeed
This could be better as a comics at first till animations
Personally I think that Only the monsterous would be a much better choice, as it has the war Doctor, action packed Daleks, time war shenanigans, timelords and Daleks chucking plates into gallifrey
Personally, I thing the first Out of Time story would make the best choice. You’ve got the two most iconic Doctors with the most iconic monsters, meaning fans young and old would buy it in a heartbeat.
Great choices. How about Masters of Earth, Emissary of the Daleks and The Juggernauts?
I hope the jubilee DALEK as well many Characters and Daleks, even Davros himself come back to screen time and The class DALEK make appearances ❤

Question is would you rather have them be their on little segment on BBC Iplayer or put onto The Classic/Nu-Who eras?
Given that a number of them have been remade into newWho episodes, it's not inconceivable that at least someone would do it.
I’ll be honest and say that I much prefer the idea of them animating these big finish stories instead of making audio dramas.
The animations would be more engaging and captivating for someone like myself who prefers to experience the story visually. Now while I’m different when it comes to a book an audio drama just doesn’t hook me the same way. An audio drama can feel very restrictive at times and repetitive.
IMO they should definitely make Bloid of the Daleks, Spare Parts, jubilee and Davros as animations.
We know these animated Dalek big finish stories could work as many fans have made their own animated recreations of big finish Dalek scenes, which work so much better imo. Xc

If big finish stories were animated i dont think they should shy away from the dark moments and the voilence when it comes to villains like daleks i dint think they should shy away they are a nazi parallel they are evil and voilent by their very nature

I’d love if they ditched the awkward stiff animation and odd rotoscoping and just actually fucking animated the characters. And redo the recordings to match the animation. Also not slavishly attempt to copy each and every actor realistically just make it stylized and unique so it flows better
