- Well after I read what was probably a bit of a joke comment, asking for a 5* uber driver video - I decided to give it a whirl! I had a really nice vision for this video and it's honestly with the deepest regret that it just didn't deliver anywhere close to what i'd imagined or intended. The view from inside the cockpit, through a camera lense is maybe 1/5th of the beauty that can be seen through the human eye. I'm really sorry that I just couldn't convey the beauty literally all around me! I tried multiple attempts and it was just a step too far with my current camera and set up. The sound isn't great and neither is the volume of the first 4 minutes.
Having said that, hopefully one or two of you might enjoy the car sounds and a little of the commentary.
The car journey starts from 4 minutes and the 0 talking starts from 32:30
I've looped the no talking portion for those who really like longer videos, without making it so long that it will burn too much data!
Also, apologies to Maserati! As we pass one of the local dealerships I said something like "to the right is the Ferrari and Lamborghini building" However it's Ferrari and Maserati :D Lamborghini is about a mile after it!

ASMR is essentially a made up acronym (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response ) used to describe that tingly / buzzing feeling you may have experienced in your head or running down your spine. The sensation can be triggered by personal attention, tutorials, sounds etc. If you are discovering "ASMR" videos for the first time, their primary purpose is just to relax and almost always to send the listener to sleep.
I'd like to say thank you to everyone for your patience with this video! Again I do apologies it didn't turn out anywhere near as polished as i'd have liked - however I really hope some of you find it useful to drift off to sleep to and to experience a little flavour of what this amazing city has to offer.
I'd also like to say the most enormous thank you to my girlfriend for filming all of this. We had to try quite a few times between the lighting, the heat and various other hurdles. However she never once complained and i'm enormously grateful to her :D

One of the greatest feelings in the world was being a little kid in the backseat of the car at night during a road trip, letting the whirr of the car put me to sleep

I'd forgotten those long drives home, looking at the moon and stars dreaming of owning a home on wheels (a big car was the idea when I was 5) so I could do it forever. Then I'd wake up, knowing we were the next turn away from home. I was always disappointed that we couldn't keep driving. Love the indicator sound. That Jag is so quiet. A fabulous job of filming too! I remember, it was night time at a stop light, and half of the people in the car were asleep. All I could hear was the car, and the turn signal noise thingy. I’ll always remember that.

I agree; it evokes memories of being driven around in the car as a child.
There is something about the white noise drone of engine which produces a sleepiness, combined with the feeling of trust in the driver, which evokes memories of me as a child and the confidence that I subconsciously placed in my father, as he drove us on long journeys on holiday from the Highlands of Scotland to Cornwall. Knowing that he was in control at the wheel, made me feel safe and secure.
Your calming, and soft spoken running commentary of the sights of Dubai portrays your knowledge of the area which instils a further element of trust and safety which we place in you as you drive us around.

When I was a child and a teen, I loved to fall asleep in the car while my parents were driving us home from some family gathering or something at night and my favorite memory ever is when you fell asleep in the car and woke up in your bed the next morning because your parents brought you there. This really means a lot to me. My parents got divorced when i was young and my mother basically raised me by her self from that point. Sadly there was never any money to go on holidays, because my mom had this huge work load providing for us (i have 2 brothers).

So I was playing WoW when this pop up on my notification, I decided to play just to see if I was going to listen this before going to sleep, I'm already 11 minutes in and I stopped playing and went to bed, this is extremely smooth and relaxing, I just put it on my TV with curtains on and lights off, and oh God, feels like I was there, man this is top notch quality asmr video, thank you so much

It's always surprised me whenever I'm travelling and sat in the back of a cab or uber on the way to a hotel etc. just how calming and reassuring it feels being sat there seeing the new place you're visiting for the first time - all the excitement you get at the thought of all the places you want to see... just being there in anticipation of it while also just feeling so relaxed... one of those "this is the life" moments that we all aim to have.

Edit: Random story but this video just sparked memories. When I was young, like 1 year old young, when I cried at night, my dad would get into the car with me and drive me around the block and it knocked me out instantly. Ever since then, my dad would take me on night trips and most of the times I fall asleep, and when I don’t, I love looking at the lights and everything in the city, the motion just makes me so calm, this is perfect visualization of what I love when on night trips.

the main reason I love this channel (I've being following it since near the beginning with my other main channel and I actually subscribed with both my channels) is that it's unique. The content is often something unseen in any other asmr channel. I understand it must be difficult for him with an hectic schedule and a real life job so I think he mixed the two in a respectful and intelligent way

There is something about the start of this video, the initial getting in the car and setting off that seems to perfectly encapsulate an excited feeling about a car journey. Its such a specific feeling but so well done.
