My dad was born in Oakland. It was a nice place then, filled with working class families from all over the world trying to survive the Depression. My grandpa worked hard as a mechanic to provide for his family and moved them to SF, never owned his own home, always rented. My dad, his sisters and brother had houses but always had mortgages. I was the first to ever go to college, then a couple other cousins did, and several of their kids. We’ve all left CA except my sister. It was our home place for 5 generations and the corruption of the Democrats who believe giving people free stuff to get votes has destroyed the most beautiful state and place in the world. They are all evil.
