I love Urbane Bronze. It's black, brown, and grey all together. Painted the exterior trim and garage doors this color on my 1940 brick bungalow. Love it.

Valentina, I love what you do with the color black 🤍. Most people are scared to use it, because it can make a place feel smaller, unlike white which does the opposite. But I love Japandi design which uses a mix of white, black, neutrals and wood colors to create beautiful contrasts. I could see using more black in my designs, especially using wood that'll pop in contrast to it!

Love this video! I really love black & colors that read as such. Currently my office and bedroom are a matte black. Some ppl find black depressing or too dark (obviously lol) but it is so comforting to me.

Black and the dark greys have fast become my favourite colour 🖤 I LOVE my black kitchen and I've used dark greys throughout our new home (which is a black barn 😂) I painted one bedroom a dark grey and its beautiful . The painter questioned my paint colours at first but had to admit they look amazing 🤣🤣 I'm thinking of doing one wall in our downstairs bathroom a dark grey if I can convince my husband 😂 I love all your videos - thank you, you're amazing 🖤

Buying a new house and I get to renovate my kitchen. I’m in love with the navy blue kitchens on the bottom and white on top. And I really love your kitchen colors, sometimes I couldn’t tell if it were black or a really dark navy, but was afraid of the black.I’m glad I watched this video and learned about the black under tones. Now that’s the color I want for my kitchen too.
I'm painting my entire exterior black and pairing it with a wood toned front door and my beams are wood too. It's going to be stunning I'm so excited.
Edited to add: my exterior will be Iron Ore and my trim and front door will be Tricorn Black on a shinier finish.

I just painted a wall in my living room with Black Panther by Behr , it’s got a very dramatic look with a bluish undertone , I absolutely love it ! It’s flat matte scuff defense, so very durable. I plan on painting some old bookshelves in a soft complimentary slightly lighter dark charcoal. I have wood tones, white, softer grey colors with grey green accents. I love the light and dark contrasts to add that drama yet still has a warm cozy feeling with the brown wood tones.

I use SW Iron Ore for walls, SW Caviar for everything else: doors, cabinets, furniture. Always works!

As I was looking for a color to paint a dresser and a wall at my beach house, I ran into your video! Super excited. I will paint the dresser with the "cracked pepper " that you suggested. Thank you so much!. I will let you know how it turns out.
I had black quartz counter tops installed in my kitchen, I painted the walls under the chair rail black black, and the headers above the cabinets black, I painted the walls and ceiling a bright white, I bought stainless steel appliances, my cabinets and wood trim is brown with orangish red under tones from the 60's, I installed bronze iron ceiling lights with off white shades, this made my small kitchen look updated and larger, I hung high end bamboo curtains on the sliding glass door that goes out to a sunroom from the dinning room that is open to the kitchen that I am going to be painting the walls black as well, I hung black and white plaid window toppers on the window above the sink, which it gives it a wow facotor bringing it all together. I am going for a modern rustic look, this is beautiful, I am loving it, I am still in the process of redecorating, but this is coming together real nice. I watch your videos all the time, Thanks for all the advice, P.S. I'm painting my sun room black to tie this all together, your sunroom is my inspration. I have art work that has a touch of red and teal, photo's of a place I was at in Germany while in the Army. I love this black and white cilor scheme, I can add about any color I want with it.

Your style looks so great 3 years later! Love your color choices!! My personal favorites are deep grays and blues by Benjamin Moore. I painted my study walls Gray Owl and I did the entire wall and the shelving behind my desk all in the Newburyport Blue. Grays come in different tones of beige, green and blue, which are all so pretty and fun to work with. You have great taste and great tips!! Thank you from NJ!!

I used mined coal on my kitchen cabinets with a White Island and coffee bar between the pantry and refrigerator. Looks absolutely stunning!!!! Also in our master bath making the bathtub and countertops pop. It’s a great neutral grey that’s not too dark. Thank you for always inspiring me.

I'm really glad you mentioned how you mix different shades in one space. We are redoing our kitchen right now and I am really drawn to Iron Ore by SW for my cabinets, however when I think about it for my ventahood cover I feel like I want more of a true black. I was happy to see you mix the off blacks and darker blacks in the same space. I may go ahead and do the vent cover in actual black even though my cabinets are likely going to be something like iron ore.
Valentina you have converted me! I wear black a lot but the thought of painting a room black seemed creepy. Currently my bedroom is plain black with one white wall, this week I'm doing a refresh of the walls and going with limousine leather. So excited!
I have just moved into a brand new build house & am thinking of painting a wall or 2 dark gray or smokey black. I have to work up the nerve because if I don't like it, it could take 3 or 4 coats to make it white again!
Our huge 2 story fireplace wall is SW Peppercorn and it is fabulous. It doesn’t make the room too dark. In fact it invites you into the room. Great video. Our tv sits on a cabinet next to the fireplace and the tv blends in with the wall. This achieves my goal of not having the tv steal the focus

My office is black. I painted it a few times to find the perfect black. I added black wallpaper to one of the walls for texture and i love it.
I always come back to this video when designing a new room 🖤 my go to for my home is iron ore by Sherwin Williams, it pairs so beautifully with the rich tones of my antique Henredon dining table and jade chandelier. My style is traditional with what I call “moody modern” elements.

I painted our bar that shares a section of my husband's office with tricorn black. There is light oak wood on the bar and a light brown leather couch. There is also a textured wall with white. All these things balanced it and look very sophisticated. Encouraged me to look for black with green undertones for our living room which has high ceilings and bright light. Taking suggestions!

We painted an accent wall behind our bed in Benjamin Moore's Iron Mountain, which is really more of a smoky dark charcoal than black, and we LOVE it.

Thinking Behr Onyx in satin for my interior doors and all the walls in some form of white. The floor is Saltillo tile. The house definitely has a Spanish flavor but I want it to look cleaner and more modern without completely ripping out the floor. Wish me luck!

I won a Realtor Award for Home Improvements. , I kept in mind what I would do inside as well to carry the theme into the 20 Century . Sherwin Williams’ Sea Serpent is used throughout my house including the kitchen cabinets. I used sherwin Williams’ Cyberspace on the exterior including trim, garage door, gutters and downspouts.
2023 and now is announced that cracked pepper is the paint of the year for 2024!!! I bought Hematite for Fireplace wall but I’m changing it today to cracked pepper matte.
I'm going to paint my dining room (top half) hematite. The other half is white wainscoting. I've gone through about 10 paint samples and one full painting regret later. I just swatched hematite today. It's PERFECT!
