The only way I can watch this video is with the knowledge that at his concert he had the white door and exited through it waving with a big smile. He's so brave for sharing this and truly brilliant with music. That shot of him on the floor with the rain looking so defeated really broke me.

amygdala, region of the brain primarily associated with emotional processes. The name amygdala is derived from the Greek word amygdale, meaning “almond,” owing to the structure's almondlike shape.

Please note the split-second image of a hand holding almonds at 5:36. This is a reference to ALMOND: A NOVEL about a guy who has trouble identifying and describing experienced emotions because of a neuropsychologic condition (alexithymia). The "almond" refers to the amygdala, an almond-shaped area of the brain. Yoongi was seen reading this book in a preview to IN THE SOOP. The book is on Namjoon's recommended list.

Yes! The amygdala is shaped similar to an almond. Yoongi also mentioned this in the behind the scenes video of this MV on the Bangtan CZcams channel!

@@arrileighhh Yes, in this video, Yoongi can occasionally be seen chewing almonds just like the boy in the novel whose mother feeds him almonds in the hope of healing his amygdala. Fascinating -- thanks for the wonderful reaction video!

It’s so emotional, I cry every time I watch it.

There was a reason why YT added a warning to this vid. As a West Indian 'Army mom' who discovered BTS in '16 and been a huge fan ever since. I experienced something at 14 yrs old. A brutal (S attack on a deserted beach....which nearly ended my life. Well....back then. There was no 'therapy' and zero support. So once my Xmas vacay ended....I went back to school (as normal). Except....it WASN'T NORMAL and affected me for yrs.
Point is. Depending 'where' in the World you live. Zero choice except to BURY THAT TRAUMA....deep as you can to even 'function'. Suga was not only sharing 'his' Trauma with Millions....his 1st line "I Don't Know Your Name'...was acknowledging that millions of Army 'May/are going through' this.
Of course I bawled my arse off. It opened a gate that I'd spent YEARS...sealing tightly shut. *sigh*....To 'Baby Army' (aka new fans who see this)......PLEASE. If needed. Reach out.
I was able to get past and move on. Have a successful marriage (until it wasn't) and a gorgeous, healthy 23 yr old son today who's relocated to his birth place of Quebec Canada. Without speaking for others.....Life 'can' move on - if the necessary help is not available in your country. As Army.....you're part of our family now.....Borahea 💜💜
