EIGHT FULL steps to painting Bane's skin with a custom look. It makes for cool looking Mcfarlane figure.
    1-- use a light beige
2- use a dark beige -- a thin coat of the first
3- use a yellow wash - with the excess with a sponge using a stippling technique
4 use a red wash with the excess with a sponge using a stippling technique
5 use a blue wash with the excess with a sponge using a stippling technique
6 use a brown tone to give more depth
7 use a light beige to add hightlights
8 a final wash of red to add depth to the skin texture
last step is the green veins ---
use a fine tip brush to apply a yellow green mix / let it dry
apply a green wash only in that area
last apply with a sponge a light beige to simulate under the skin
Cover all with clear coat of your choice.

    Amazing work.
I see now that the hardest part of this project will be painting the skin because as you said there is not a single color but rather a multiple tones that makes up the overall flesh tone. Thanks for the great tips and for sharing your video with us here on CZcams... Like I've said before, im glad to see that these can be done without a airbrush. I'll definitely will try to buy that spray that you dpoke of to seal the paints to the figure. Again thank you for your tips and painting advices 👍

Seal it with Mr Super clear or Model Masters semi gloss clear coat

First off amazing job! I just got the materials to do this and I’m so excited! A quick question though. You use the mr super clear as a primer and paint on it correct? Also when you spray the figure with the mr super clear does is freeze up the joints and make them stuck? And I noticed while you were painting an moving the joints the paint wasn’t scraping off is that because the clear itself? Sorry a lot of questions

      Hello
      Thanks for watching
Mr Super Clear is a plastic spray that dries with a slight texture….. it’s a good base for dry brush technique even a color change depending on the paint used.
You only need a light coat….. on the surface to be painted…don’t spray the joints they will become tight ….. you will need to sand the joints if you’re painting them…with McFarlane figure the paint rub is mainly from the ratchet…… if you lightly spray the Super Clear on the joint it has enough texture to stain it…. Thick paint won’t be need, you only need to give the impression it has thick paint… this requires fully drying it before another wash…. Can you seal it? Yes, but since it’s hidden and not showing paint rub clear coat isn’t needed. Each figure is different…

    • @InkDropCustoms

I only the matte finish…. It’s expensive so I only buy that version, I get more uses out of that finish

You can add as much color as needed.. … you can tone it down but not using not using a red wash ….the camera shows more saturated colors. .. … I have one more neutral skin tone but it looks faded color on camera… so I had to add color to show the process on camera .
