Create a DIY Pillow for Fall

Follow along in this tutorial as we make a DIY throw pillow. This is a funny easy fall decor DIY. Materials used:

In this tutorial, I am using my Cricut Maker and heat press. Any cutting machine will work! First I walk you through how to upload the images into Design Space. You can use the silhouette of a pumpkin off of google. Then I used my svg “pumpkin vibes only” this svg comes with the offset already included. You resize your image to be 8-10 inches wide. Then you ungroup your text from the offset. Next, you select the pumpkin and the offset and “slice”. After you have completed the slice, you delete any offset that is in the file. In this case, we had three. The goal is to get the image of the pumpkin with text in the middle with a space for the outline. This will make your text POP! When it’s time to click “make it” (after saving of course), go ahead and toggle the mirror image so that you it will be flipped. You do not need to do this on the patterned HTV.
After you load and cut both images. You will weed them. I then place them pumpkin vibes only text on top of the pumpkin and add extra HTV protective transfer tape to help lift the pumpkin image off the backing.
I am ready to turn my heat press to 360. When it is ready I place the pillow case in the center along with my HTV. I always press the image three times and make sure that I can see the outline of whatever fabric I am using through the vinyl. This is the perfect craft for every single season!

Using transfer tape with regular vinyl is the worst, so I can’t imagine using it with htv. Great job on your video and I love the pillow!
