Yes, please make a video on the topic of DaVinci Resolve. Many editors have made the move from Premiere Pro to it. Editors just like you with years of APP expertise. All have convincing arguments for the move. Why haven't you? Even Thomas Frank said, "if I started as an editor today, I'd use DaVinci Resolve."

I started on Avid which built the great foundation for editing and gave me good techniques. But avid was slow to develop and I moved on. First from avid was PP and then Final Cut.
Now I am on Davinci Resolve and I love it. You can do everything in it.

It’s close to never used for editing in the industry and only really used for color

@@ImaginationVFXhousewhy that is? I’m Premiere Pro editor for a decade now and I wanna switch to Da Vinci cause as far as I’m seeing it’s far better with all-around..
Do you think it has something to do with output workflow? I can imagine these type of work are time demanding.

@@angelicaamora11The timeline is clunky in resolve and their file management tools aren’t that great. For color it’s used and the best but for the offline and even finishing online never used they roundtrip to Avid or sometimes premiere. Just a lot of workflows editors have been using for 20+ years are built around Avid so no reason for them to switch over. I feel resolve got so popular among CZcamsr filmmakers because it’s free of a $300 perpetual license with unlimited upgrades. If they all were the same price I doubt anyone outside of a post production facility who is only using it for color would touch it for editing.

@@angelicaamora11 resolves timeline is a little clunky compared to premiere or Avid. Resolve isn’t as good with collaboration and little things like if you are doing special transitions like fast pan transitions the transitions motion blur is unnatural compared to premiere. Especially with third party transitions premieres looks way better. Pretty much Resolve was created for color and only used for color then they started adding the edit page and fusion page and then the fairlight page making it similar to Adobe having after effect and audition but all in one software. It works just doesn’t work as good as the dedicated NLE software out there. If someone has no budget and not making money and wants to make films resolve is great but when little details matter it’s worth cutting in Avid.
